Why you hate NUFC?

Mainly because Liverpool and the Metropolitan Borough is more than twice the size of Newcastle and it's borough. 466,000 vs 189,000

Then you look at Liverpool combined with the surrounding boroughs of Sefton, St Helens etc and those are again larger than the comparable Newcastle boroughs (Tyneside). 2m vs 0.8m

So while Liverpool is a two club city, it also has way more than twice the population.

Do it by county then.

By that I mean Lancashire, how many clubs ? Newcastle have from Scotch Corner to carlisle as a fanbase.

I don't even think there's a debate to be had as to who the bigger club is between Everton and Newcastle. It's blatantly obvious.

Personally I don't really have much of an opinion on Newcastle. I think their fans are of the "fair weather" variety as you all jumped ship upon relegation, you have a chairman you hate when you're doing badly but ignore when you're doing well, you have a manager that is impossible to like and as a city you're in your own self-imposed deluded bubble, where you think that just because everyone in Newcastle has a Newcastle shirt on, then everyone in the world must support them too.

However, I think you have a really good strike force, on balance your side is probably more dangerous than ours and should win tonight, and Alan Shearer was absolutely fantastic.

But the negatives outweigh the positives. But I go back to my original posts - on the whole I don't care about Newcastle FC one way or the other, as you're not big or relevant enough to care about. Sorry but it's true - it's just a fixture on the calendar for us.

You're a north east version of Blackburn basically.

That's an interesting remark. "All jumped ship upon relegation". In the interests of balance, it's worth considering Newcastle's average gate in the Championship of 44,000 was bigger than any Everton have had since 1970. Would hardly attack their loyalty there tbh.

Been reading your match thread and it's pretty clear the overwhelming feeling towards Newcastle and Geordies is a pretty angry kind of hatred. Just curious for the reason.

I mean, we've not recently injured one of yours, we've not robbed you of owt, we're not local rivals, we're not nicking any of your players. Yet I've genuinely not seen a group of fans more fervent in their desperation to beat us since the mackems.

You also seem stuck on pretty lazy cliches about Newcastle fans. Just like you're not all "bitter blues", we're not "deluded mags". Just seems a bit odd, is all.

So I was wondering what actual reasons have you got, or is it just that when you take everything into account, we're of a similar size to you and therefore, a rival?

Cheers

Kevin Nolan on Victor Anichebe, oh and Arteta had his Everton career destroyed by an injury down at your place

I hate Pardew. Footballing lesson, operating in different league, have share of cash all those bull****e. He is just a bellend.

to pick up on the "Geordies think everyone loves Newcastle Utd" myth, the opposite is actually true (and equally bollocks), there's a huge number of Geordies who think that we're hard done by, by the press, the FA, UEFA, whoever. Also the great outpouring of hatred on talkshows from fans of clubs like you, Spurs, Villa, etc.

Now, I know that radio phones are like the Sky Sports cameras at the grounds on transfer deadline day, but given great swathes of people listen to them and form opinions from them, that's what you get.

deluded mags, bitter blues, essex Man U, Arsenal ruperts, etc. etc.

Aside from Pardew's attitude, I'm gaining a bit more respect for NUFC over the last season or so. Getting rid of the likes of Barton & Nolan and replacing them with Tiote & Ben Arfa makes sound footballing & business sense as well as improving the 'culture' of the club.

I hope the days are gone when they half-filled the stadium to see Michael Owen & they've begun to realise that a local messiah figure won't bring them success.

Wouldn't mind seeing Cabaye on the receiving end of a dodgy tackle or 2 tonight though.

Also, this Messiah crap surely has to stop? Keegan's incredible feat of taking a doomed club back to the top flight and then the Champions League got him that nickname, because, in footballing terms, that was a sodding miracle.

We've not called anyone else that, it's just lazy journalists. Just like the line about "Geordies would rather lose 4-3 than win 1-0" Bollocks. Utter unmitigated bollocks. I suppose West Ham play the beautiful game, do they?

Anyway, enough of setting the world to rights,

Enjoy the win tonight, but we'll do you at ours

Because you're nowhere near the size of us as a football club yet seem to think you're Real Madrid. Also, Pardew is an absolute melt.
