I know its hard, im as guilty as anybody else, but if some weapon makes a useless post, let them, just ignore it.

Just kidding. To me, it's a fine line. Ultimately all the GOT cliches (Belgians, Cheese on Toast etc) are part of the identity of the forum and something that the community have developed themselves. It's part of what is GOT. Like anything else though, it gets tiresome when its overdone, especially when you're trying to engage in a discussion seriously but it's the internet, you've got to expect that you'll encounter some idiots and I think it's best just to ignore them.

It does seem different though, (and I'm a relative newcomer) and I've hardly ventured into the everton forum over the summer and never do during the game. Too many people are unable to agree to disagree and seem to forget that it's perfectly possible for someone with a different point of view to be just as passionate about the club as themselves. I'm glad the windows shut, some of the crap going on about being ITK (or not) was pathetic.

Yeah. And i know i mentioned them in my first post but all these in jokes we have on here aren't really the problem, gets a bit annoying sometimes but its harmless.

Its more the sniping and arsey comments which are the problem. That and wind up accounts who post nothing but bull**** for years just to piss people off. Or damon as he was known. Unfortunatly his legacy lives on through clowns like changy.

This has happened before. We've had some heated namethrowing earlier here when things have been infected and divided us posters. KEIOC anyone? It happens. It might sound bad, but most of the times it boils down to our love for the club. Each and every Everton supporter here wants the best for the club, but we can't always agree on what it is. Sometimes posters take the discussion and other times they are just too tired to state the same thing again so they spew out something harsh instead.

Some posters have a certain way of posting, a signature thing that they almost always add to their messages. If you're not used to it, it will sound strange and perhaps even patronizing, but if you stay around you'll get used to it and won't think much of it.

That said. We should all remember that we are all here for our love of the club and as Evertonfans we should let our fellow toffees say their piece. We should always try to remember that when we post something in respons to someone else here.

If someone don't... report them. The moderators are usually very good at sorting things out fairly quickly.

I used to post on kipper, never really posted on here to be honest. There are some I agree from kipper who come on just to cause an argument but theres also a few who have been members for a while that are the same - so I think its unfair to label most people migrating from kipper as the root cause

As its been mentioned the simple thing to do is to ban those who dont contribute anything positive or constructive to the forum, eventually they'll all be banned, plus it will serve as a warning for others who try and take the p*ss

I don't want to come across as a "get offah mah propertah" sort of person, but honestly it is the root cause. Every time someone is kicking off or posting something unbearably stupid, it's someone who used to browse Kipper. 90% of the Tw*tter b*llocks in the Everton forum came from an ex-Kipper poster.

By all means I welcome the decent chaps from there, but the idiots can take a long walk off a short plank as far as I'm concerned.
