WTF is happening to GOT

Difficult post this, as the issue has been noted on various threads over the last few days, but this forum just feels different ATM, and I am not sure why, or indeed, if anyone else thinks the same.

It would be a real shame if the qualities that attract(ed) Evertonians to the site in the first place become diluted, and GOT morphed into just another forum. Sure it wont happen cos there are too many great guys and gals on here, but wondered what other folks thought.

I keep hearing thats its all kippers fault yet half the problem is with the attitude of GOT regulars.

Someone comes on and makes a post or a thread that a regular doesn't like. Instead of ignoring it they just have a go at the poster and it just causes bad feeling.

That and there are too many posters who don't actually have anything of worth to say instead just make pointless comments like "burn this thread", "poster x is laying the smack down", "you're an idiot", "unzips", "belgians", "lads" and so on.

Its alright for a laugh some of the time but certain posters do it all the time in the Everton forum so instead of getting decent debate and weeding out the idiots it gets encouraged and you get threads full of crap.

You can say i'm being a moany arse and if i don't like it i can go elsewhere : thats true but its also true that as Roydo said this place has changed for the worse and rather than jump ship i'd rather get back to the way things were.

But the match day thread was a complete joke today.

Being an Evertonian doesn't give you an instant right to stay here.

My advice would be to start reporting any and every offensive post for the attention of the mods as I wouldn't be surprised if they were missing half of what's going on. They can only do so much and maintain a life at the same time!
