Should Phil Neville be anywhere near our first team?

I think we would still have the same problem with him in the side only reversed.

I think if we were going to use Coleman at right back then we would need a right midfielder who would support him and cover for him if need be ala Pienaar and we dont have one of them as far as I am aware.

we play with two holding midfielders, surley one of them could cover.

You sir are a complete and utter footballing retard if you believe that a captain does not add value in any way other than by playing.

Wiat. I take that back.

Let me rather say that you have no clue of how sport works if you beleive that a captain serves no function besides playing.

You have already used your supreme Gold Status to slam me with Negative rep, well done. Very proud of yourself?

The captain is an extension of the manager, ensuring that the correct strategies and tactics are employed during the game. The captain sets the tone for the team through being positive and instilling belief in his team mates.
The captain 'points' out mistakes to team mates and helps them improve.
A good Captain never hangs his head, he spurs his side on, pushing them to excel.
He's the guy that pushes the culture of the club harder than anybody else.
He settles disputes and protects club atmosphere by diffusing situations intra and inter teams.
He brings the team together in times of uncertainty and tries to get them out the other side using his leadership skills.
Yes he does massage legs sometimes, but so what? that shows that he is caring, another leadership quality. He cares about the team and the individuals and their combined success.
He's courageous and works hard to prepare not only himself but also the team
He's consistent to the extent that yes he may not be a world beater but he always gives his best, setting the example and creating a cohesive unit that strives to give their best.

Does NONE of that add value?

No,Not when hes a an awful footballer

I wish I could be arsed going over every point you have made but theres so many and I have a short attention span

You make out Neville is the greatest captain to ever walk on to a football field, The truth of the matter is he would not have a starting place in any other team in the League

Do you not think Jags,Gibson or Distan could do Nevilles job but you know actually be good at football at the same time

Neville is a spare wheel and I wish he would roll on out of Goodison for good

SEAMUS COLEMAN FFFFFFFFSSSSSSS

Seamus can only really be given a game at right back against Premiership opposition who don't have anyone half decent on their left wing. Hibbert's far better defensively than Seamus, as is Neville. Only put his name forward as a right back if you promise not to fume when he costs us the odd goal here and there.

Neville works hard. Neville is loyal to the club, to the team and the fans. He's nor a jerk or diva. He stands much for what is typical Everton. He should not have to take a lot of ****e from so called supporters. Neville is my man. I want more Neville's in the team!

He played in midfield against United , today nothing fell for us the ref was awful , West brom deserved the win in the end .

He was poor against Utd or was I watching something else

Even my mate who was with me agreed that the game bypasses him

Do you reckon Hibbert never made any mistakes when an inexperienced youngster first getting game time?

If Coleman plays at right back i'm fully expecting him to mistakes. I'm also fully expecting him to give us an extra dimension going forward which helps us score goals.

And the only way he is ever going to fully be able to step up and be the right back we hope he is is to have the manager trust in him and actually play him.

He needs games. Unless he's genuinly that bad at right back there's no point ever playing him there, which would suggest the last 2 seasons. But not last Wednesday. Or gaining promotion with Blackpool.

Its like i said earlier. If you have 10 decent players in a team you'll do well. If you have 11 you'll do better. You don't carry passengers you aim to be the best you can as a team.

Its football 101 right?

''Yes he is a kak player, but he's more than that. He adds something other than technical ability and creativity (we all know theres none of that).

So why is he continuosly picked you all ask??? Not cos he points like a boss.

COS HE ADDS TO THE TEAM IN OTHER WAYS.''

You gave me crap for saying that. You asked what other ways. I told you what other ways.

Just admit your a bad bell that was bullying me.

Do it. Say sorry you bad bad boy.

Del the bell.

Hibbert still makes lots of mistakes and is always caught out of position or ball watching
