Now I know, I know. Its Peter Crouch 'ffs', even though I despised him with a passion, even prior Liverpool for no rational reason.

But hes not bad at finding the net, model professional and offers something different. Why that fat Spainish fool doesn't play him i'll never know. Him and Torres upfront all last season would have certainly have bumped their Prem tally right up.

For £10m, would you like him here? *awaits abuse* I dont want him going to Portsmouth, him and Defoe would score plenty.

£10m is a bit too much i'd say, £8m ish wouldn't be too bad.

Maybe another way to look at it, in 'Football Manager' world, if we could offload AJ for £10m ish an get Crouch in, would you see this as an improvement?

He's a talented player yes but I can't see him working with Yakubu to be honest. I think we should be looking to get pace and mobility around Yakubu and Crouch doesn't offer that.

I can't see him going for 10 million though. I think it'll be closer to 15 million as Benitez has stated.

Portsmouth wont pay it, there only hope is a joke of a club (ie Newcastle) paying silly money.

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has admitted he is interested in signing Liverpool striker Peter Crouch, but only if the Anfield club drop their £15m asking price. "If the price is right something could happen. If they wanted £10m it would certainly be more interesting. We do need another front man," he said. (The Portsmouth News)

I think Crouch is a good player, i used to hate him, but he has a good strike on him, id be happy if crouch came in, but i htink there are better strikers out there, owen, martins, huntelaar, jo, etc etc...

I think crouch is better than joe bit like most are saying he would not suit our system. We need pace and lots of it.
Benzema(lyon) now what a sining that would be but i reckon i have more of a chance of pulling crouch's bird.

Peter Crouch is (right now) a f**king hero. The FSW wants £15M for him cos he's desperado for the money - which Lanky knows is way too much and no-one will come in for him. So what does he do? He's basically going to sit on the RS bench for a year and get a Bosman. For screwing The [Poor language removed] out of (say) £10-11M I think we should give the man a standing ovation when he comes to Goodison with his next side.
