Kevin Mirallas on why he chose the Blues over Arsenal

If you listen to people who know about Greek, French and Belgian football, the one thing he DEFINITELY DEFINITELY doesn't lack is confidence in his own ability. Even to the point of having a little TOO much, maybe

I know it must be uncomfortable being beaten to a signing by little, poor old Everton, but there's no reason to be quite such a sore loser about it, you know.
Actually from what I have read from people in france, he came to France with big hyped and failed big time and has something like 3 goals in 55 games. And lets be honest now, the greek league is extremely poor and uneven. Yes there is 2 good team there, but the mid table and lower teams and at best league 1 teams and thats the truth. Alot of belgium fans also dont rate him that much at all.....I think you guys have build him up to be something he's not and are in for disappointment

To people saying he flopped in France, he played their up until the age of 22, how people can say he "badly flopped" is beyond me considering his age, he was just getting started really.

What ive read is that he pacy, likes to use his skill and can dribble, his weakness is he selfish, and does not work hard, this is where Moyes shines, gets his players to run through a brick wall for him, and also work on how to make him into a team player, its a gamble but we cant afford the polished player, we have to buy raw hungry players.

Behave, he will flop and we will glaze because nobody has ever recovered from underperforming in France ever.

so he basically didnt believe he would get games for Arsenal? He also mentioned in previous interview how it would be harder to get games at Arsenal....to me he sounds like he doesnt have that much confidence in his own ability

either way you look at it..............at the end of the day he signed for the better club.

So I guess you're extremely happy that RVP left you guys for United on that account, as the Dutch League is also very poor?

Let's just wait and see hey? You do come across a bit bitter though.

Joe Cole was MVP in Lil lid, everyone nose ow good da french league is, but if you flopped there at the age of 22, youve got no chance.

But Joe Cole was 29 whilst playing in France, so must be true.

I dont care if im honest. We are fleshing out our squad with quality, maybe a sprinkling of youth here and there to see us through. I envisage a good season. This lid will do alright by us and settle well, giving us OPTIONS. yay!

In fairness, i think EB does a bit more than just that. You can just watch his youtube videos and see he is quite confident, speak to various knowledgable people in greek football or journalism and confirm it.

Yeah, fair play.

I love reading the Executioner's blog, he does the best analysis I've seen of players anywhere. Makes for great reading.

EB used to post his articles on here and I used to love reading them, but unfortunately he stopped for whatever reason, and I never remember to look it up.

From what I have read, you need to sign up to Rosetta Stone for an English language course.

I think most of us are building him up to be exactly what he is.

The teds thinking we've got the Belgian Ronaldo are obviously going to be disappointed, but I for one have done my research and have seen him enough to know his pros and cons.

Pros: Fast, two-footed, versatile, skilful, eye for goal
Cons: Sometimes selfish, not as defensively aggressive as most of our players

Moyes should be able to iron out the kinks and his basic attributes are very exciting to us. You, as an Arsenal fan, will be more accustomed to flair players and thus perhaps a bit less excitable. But lad this is an Everton forum, so be bear that in mind when posting please.

We loved Drenthe and go ape**** over Barkley. We're so starved of any kind of flair that any player who can beat his man will be thought of highly.

Judging by what arsenal fans think of vermaelen and kosceliy I think you do the same about any player who even looks like he might be able to tackle. Where as for us neither would really appeal much.

We have different needs so different ways of judging new platers.
