Kevin Mirallas on why he chose the Blues over Arsenal

Away to Villa coming off the bench when we inevitably fall behind will probably be a good introduction for him. I haven't seen anything of him really, but just the idea of having a young, attacking player coming off the bench that (by our standards) we've paid a decent fee for is an exciting prospect. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of dynamic he can bring to the side.

so he basically didnt believe he would get games for Arsenal? He also mentioned in previous interview how it would be harder to get games at Arsenal....to me he sounds like he doesnt have that much confidence in his own ability

I think he was just being polite by bigging Arsenal up. What he really meant to say was "Arsenal are are a yesterday club, I chose to join the team who are on the up and will be the next superpower of English football, plus I knew what Fellaini looked like in the showers.

Honestly I expect this guy to be average. Sorry just think we are massively hyping him up and it concerns me that if he's ony quite good, Osman level for example, he will be classed as a massive dissapointment and people will qucikly ignore the good things he does and concentrate on the one bad pass he made or the run he didn't complete in the 63rd minute.
Some players get praised for doing a great job whereas some get slated for doing just as good a job because expectation is higher. I am going for low expecatation with the hope of being suprised.

If you listen to people who know about Greek, French and Belgian football, the one thing he DEFINITELY DEFINITELY doesn't lack is confidence in his own ability. Even to the point of having a little TOO much, maybe

I know it must be uncomfortable being beaten to a signing by little, poor old Everton, but there's no reason to be quite such a sore loser about it, you know.

You should read up on his psychology report...

Nice to get a footballer that is thinking about how he can look good in a team, not what team he is in and how much he will earn.
That I think is something Moyes is good at finding.

So he didn't say he wanted to come because of the history and wonderful heritage our grand old club has?

RIP UP THIS JUDAS' CONTRACT AT ONCE !!!!!!!!!1111!!!!!!

No, he has said previously he met with Arsenal but they wouldn't guarantee him first team football. To which he said "feck that" and looked elsewhere. Wenger didn't want him as much as Moyes did. It has nothing to do with his own confidence in his ability.

It's an admirable quality to be honest - he didn't want to come in to a side, sit on a bench and collect a paycheck.

I don't really know jack about psychology but wouldn't you normally have to do more than watch a few clips of a person off videos to profile them properly though?
In fairness, i think EB does a bit more than just that. You can just watch his youtube videos and see he is quite confident, speak to various knowledgable people in greek football or journalism and confirm it.
