So in summary

We.ve had millions in our bank accounts since last sunday.
The club has not made a single official bid for any player.
The PL season kicks off tommorow.
Another day closer to Bill putting the money under lock and key for safe keeping like.
...

Yep.

Apologies. Is it 100% though?

Need a RB big time....and Messi. WhereTF is Anal Anabambiwhatsizzface?? "David's a grrreat guy, a fantastic man, a special manager....." - yeah-cheers-bill. Spurs vacancy circa May/June '12 = shot across the bow [for me]

Let's just calm down. For Christ sake everyone needs to stop, take a step back and just be happy we have options for once.

WRONG! Clearly we need to rush out and snap up players regardless of quality or worth. Negotiate a good deal? Asses options? Pah, that **** is for league one teams.

Honestly, for the first time in a long while Moyes has a little money to spend. I'm more than happy for him to take his time in choosing which players will be worth spending on. That said, if we're in this same position a couple of days before the window closes, then I'll be panicking.

Why don't we just wait until the end of the transfer window and IF we haven't signed sufficient players, we can moan then?

Rodwell deal took two weeks. Something he said himself. So, if we'd heard about it when it actually started the silence would have been for two weeks. They negotiated until they came to an agreement. It's not football manager, they don't just bid and accept. They also don't have to tell people they've bid/had a bid recieved. That wouldn't be in OUR interest at all, surely.

If Everton are going for this, they will be discussing terms (not just the fee) and that takes time, even if it's a straight forward deal, fee-wise. No one ever hears what goes on in these discussions and rightly so. They don't have some fella leaking info to twitter "ITK's" while this is going on. It's confidential. Something may come of it (DM was confident of this by the sounds of him) and yet, it may stall/fail. Arsenal may bid, they may not. Hell, we may not even be discussing it anymore. But I'd expect it to come out if the negots did fall through.

Either way, we'll hear about it when it's concluded. Just because it's quiet does not mean it's off.

Sensibly so though mate. I'd prefer to avoid being wrapped up in deadline drama. Don't love soap operas.
