Sums that feller up...he's happy with shaving 8 players off last season's squad and bringing two in (one of whom was already here anyway).

No wonder he gets paid more than any unsuccessful manager has ever been paid in the history of football. Mr Dont Rock the Boat.

Moyes and Kenwright are destroying this club. No difference, just different sides of the same coin.

Dave, hearing Moyes speaking freely about football during the Euros on TV and radio has made me realise the political situation he is in.

His Everton related interviews are quite farcical at times, but he is clearly smart and knows football.

And when you say "unsuccessful manager", not many managers are successful, this is a Sky6 world now and we both know it. These days success means not being unsuccessful, if that makes sense.

He said he's he's signed Naismith and Pienaar. I think we can all agree with that. He also wants at least two more. Nothing wrong with that. He didn't say he'd be satisfied with two players at any point.

That's not what the andy lewis tweet quote fdrom Moyes said above...take it up with that poster if it's wrong.

That's true, but can you point me in the direction of one of the others that get £3.5M per year (soon to rise to even more)?

I've got the tweet and it says he's happy with those two and he wants to add at least two more.

Moyes: "I am happy with Naismith and Pienaar but I am actively looking to bring in at least two more players."

No way Moyes was happy with two. And if he was and is up the board's arse, why is he looking to spend every penny he can get of their money if he is already happy with is squad?

Likewise point me in the direction of any managers with a ten year tenure, in the richest league in the world with worse wages?

Name one player who featured regular last season who has gone apart from Cahill? and even people where then moaning he was past it, i defy you to answer that.

Cahill, Straquilersi and Drenthe all played regularly - the latter two not replaced as yet. Rodwell was always part of the first team set up, there's no use placing him in any 'peripheral player' column. The others were part of the squad to turn to and bring in on occasion...you are supposed to have these players...it's why it's called 'a squad', and if you dont replace them it's then called 'a threadbare squad'...which is what we have now.

Hi Shaun,

welcome to the forum mate.

Nothing solid on the deal as of yet, but a lot of idle rumours.

I'm going to merge this with the other thread.

Cheers,
