Yeeeeeeeeeeaaaah buddy.

Me :- You sold him for 50 million.. he has gone on to win the FA cup and Champions league in 1 season ..also the european champions.....you replaced him with 35 million Andy Carroll who has scored less league goals than Torres and at this moment is being considered to be loaned out to west ham....... which would you rather have mate ?

She's the one that asked you to marry her?!

No this is her...

JDawg my man, sounds to me like she really wants to stay in the US, hence the 'desperation' proposal for a green card, your responses have told her you may be a little interested in 'the real thing' rather than a phoney marriage. She seems to be open to the idea. This is what I read into your conversation so far.

My advice would be, if you really like her then talk to her, let her know your feelings, tell her you don't want to rush into marriage but would like to get to know her on a more steady basis first. If she is seriously interested in you then this will be OK, if all she's after is a Green Card this won't be too appealing. Whatever you do don't rush into something that you may live to regret.

Suggest a nice dinner with a good wine and let the conversation develop.

BTW, how did the kinky evening with the red head go, pics??

This is good too I suppose.

UPDATE:

So I called her and left a message and she called me back...just off the phone.

No mention of marriage. We chatted a bit and made plans to see each other tomorrow night and then date plans next week. She acted normal. So maybe this is something better discussed in person.

I think you're dealing with some deeply seated insecurity about whether or not you're happy with the choices you've made up to this point. The fact that you could clearly dismiss this and not really be arsed about it, but are instead going, "Eek! Ohh, man, how about that", indicates that settling down is something that bothers you. I'd guess this comes from a fundamental fear of missed opportunity, which ultimately stems from a fear of death. Perhaps you need to figure that out first.

There you go mate.

Agreed Degz. She's not desparate as she has a visa and a job, I"m sure she's just thinking long term, and perhaps she really does like me enough to even bring it up, even in a joking manner.
