2025/26 David Moyes

Watching the post match. That man cares so much that Everton supporters getting back into Europe. Only Howard and Joe (in my lifetime) cared so much about us. He is gutted.

I disagree, he surely cares somewhat but going on listening to him for too many years, I have long thought he cares about his own rep first

Im very tired of having his mediocre “branding” back on the club

Yeah. So he found a good eleven and stuck with it. Seems pretty sensible to me.

The idea that chopping and changing is good is a new phenomenon that goes against all logic.

I’ll be interested to see if Rohl has earned his spot now. He performed very well.

Also, doesn’t the progress he has made with this same set of players speak to the quality of the coaching? He did similar at West Ham with many of the old underperforming players having the form of their lives.
I think he's done a good job. Garner's been a revelation under his coaching. He had the vision to plug the gap at RB with O'Brien last year.
But I'm just bored of him, he's been such a big part of my trophyless life as an evertonian.
Villa sacked Gerrard and went out and got the fella who's won more europa leagues than he knows what to do with. He turned them around straight away.
Fair play to Moyes, he brought stability, thanks for the season and a half.

I thought he really loved Everton till I heard how he salivated over Ferguson and United.
after spending years scooping up their castoffs.

Dyche was already using O`Brien as RB before Moyes took over, its a shame Moyes hasn`t the vision to allow him to see he`s far better a CB and find a solution to our problem at RB that doesn`t include giving Coleman another 12 months where he won`t play any football (apart from Ireland internationals).

Sorry mate, but that`s totally untrue.

Apart from a few random sub appearances, Dyche would not use O`Brien and certainly not as full back.

There`s pages and pages of head scratching over it in his thread.

One of the first things Moyes did, was install O`Brien at right back.

I mean Moyes was a centre back, he can surely see that Keane and Tarkowski are on their last legs and O'Brien is the future, can't he?

What? No he was not, what a really strange thing to make up.

Rag tag bunch? 😂 That's such a myth that the squad is lackluster, are there some deficiencies? It's a midtable squad Absolutely especially with the fullbacks which Moyes has not seen as a priority. We had Jack grealish who was delivering exceptional stats before his injury, dewsberry hall and Garner have distinguished themselves as top players in this league.
Two ageing centre backs another who is proving sadly to be injury prone. No specialist full backs who can support the attack, two mis firing strikers. Then there's Grealish who we don't know if he'll come back from injury the same player or even if we can sign him anyway. Hardly a squad on the verge of mounting a challenge to the established top six.

The worrying thing if we're stuck with Moyes is that his early moves are to retain Keane and reportedly Mykolenko and to tie up an injury prone Grealish for a big fee.

That coupled with his continued reluctance to see younger players already bought as anything other than long term projects spells out to me that we'll pretty much continue down the same path and even buy in more 'experienced' players Moyes feels comfortable about the dressing room doing his bidding for him.

We're at a crossroads.
