Everton Ticketing Changes

I’m a season ticket holder not a member, I went on this morning and I could buy a “blue” seat , which I assume was general sale not resale.

I think they changed it from Leeds because that game was first time Everton promoted/allowed season ticket holders to buy another ticket. As per a few posts above.

Appreciate the Premier League are insisting on digital tickets, but it's the club insisting on paid membership and making it difficult to transfer.

Tad surprised the 1.2m on the season ticket waiting list aren't snapping them up on the resale too.

Unless there's significant changes at Everton, I think it will get a lot worse. From 2016 onwards Evertons ticket allocation was largely been a closed club, unless you got a ticket off stub hub or were passed a season ticket from friends or family you had very little chance of getting tickets. Most people who signed up for season tickets, weren't signing up for digitalised tickets, public transport hassle and constant changes in kick off times. Whats the point me buying a ticket at significant expense and kick off changes, due to half the league being in Europe. When I had a season ticket for years, other than Chelsea in 2008, games weren't changed last minute. I know plenty of people with season tickets, who know just leave seat empty, rather than hassle of passing on tickets.

Should revert to the credit system for home games to reward people for attending lesser games in the depths of winter, this ballot system is a joke and shrouded in mystery, giving the club carte blanche to move on extra tickets for the bigger games to seat unique etc
As far as I can tell from reports on here, it's also been possible to buy via the resale site for every game except the first one and the Derby so it's largely been completely pointless.

Yes, my 9 year old missed out on Brighton and the Derby (got a derby ticket off a member of this forum for him who was an absolute gent), my point is if he has been to your Wolves, Brentfords etc at night in the middle of winter its not right that he is pushed out when the derby comes around, surely it should be 'this person has been to x amount of games that were on general sale, he gets first shout on derby tickets', that doesnt fit in with the clubs new touting policy though.

Absolutely, the way it was until this season.

If they’d have carried on the old criteria for this year, I’d have had priority based on credits accumulated.

I imagine this was a conscious decision in order to make memberships more appealing to your casual fan who MIGHT consider trying to get tickets for a game or two. They aren’t going to be interested in stumping up £30 if they know that there’s likely thousands of people in with more of a chance of getting a ticket.

They aren’t arsed about loyalty, it’s how to squeeze as much £ as possible.

How are certain pubs allowed to punt ticket packages aswell (ticket, free bar, food, ex blue on etc) for well over the odds, they seem to be getting unmimited tickets and the club look the other way, its crazy

Not my experience that.

Yes it’s been much harder than in the past to get tickets, especially in the last year at Goodison but as long as you were able/willing to put the work in when the tickets went on sale, you’d often get some.

I hadn’t bought a ticket for a few years after having kids but then my lad took an interest a couple of years ago. Managed to get to +10 games last year (9 from buying from the club and 1 a lad from here) and have got hold of every game I’ve wanted this year (some in the ballot, some resale) bar the Derby.

If I couldn't go the game I would give to friends or family. but they've made it difficult and a load of hassle so wouldn't bother passing it on and many people think the same as me... that's why there's empty seats club office department are a joke

Yes, but having got to the 10 credit mark you should be guaranteed a derby ticket, not placed in a ballot where no one has a clue how many tickets are available or then be counting on a resale portal where about 5 tickets appeared prior to the derby, its a joke system now, open to manipulation by the club at the expense of the most loyal fans.

You'd think that rather than leave so many seats empty some STH's would be giving their tickets away free of charge on the ticket thread here. Might help people get to more games who might not otherwise be able to afford it - it's a very expensive season when you're paying full price on the resale site as well as having paid the membership.
