You see Bournemouth getting a pen for free at the weekend, and then you watch Silva do that against us, it’s a joke.

That Bournemouth one is one of the worst i think i've ever seen

I think its one of the worst weekends ive seen for unfathomable decisions. You cant look at the bournemouth one and then last night and think they're on top of this lol.

I was under the impression that he said that he wasn't even looking as he knew that he was going to blow for full time. The (admittedly poor) footage that i've seen doesn't back that up. He shat himself as Hutchinson wasn't 10 yards away, but also wasn't seeking to gain a advantage. Poll didn't know what to do so he took the cowards way out. Then he went on to boom the same player 3 times in a world cup match!

A simple case of commentators being unaware of the rules. If you drag a player down in your own penalty spot while your teammate is having a shot at the other end, its a penalty.

Their actual excuse, which Im paraphrasing from what Dermot Gallagher said he heard on the system was, 'they dont deem it a penalty as the majority of the action took place while the ball was out of play'.

This is a direct misapplication of the law, as it states that the fouls must be given for the portion of the foul that took place during play, regardless of where they are.

They're just making it up on the spot. I have not seen a single case again of a player getting 50mm of benefit of the doubt due to digital line thickness.

Absolutely love the linesperson that flagged barry offside for our first goal. A stunner of a crap yourself decision.

The writing was on the wall from there. Can't blame anyone but ourselves for their second though. We lead 3-1 for about 20 seconds, which included retrieving the ball, the ref whistling for KO and then passing the ball forwards for free for haaland to score.

Indefensible. though a misspell 'indefencible' seems more apt. Shambles!

The league wants to make the title race as interesting as possible, that's why the pen wasn't given. There is no other reason. It is just another example from a long list of certain clubs getting a totally different treatment.
