This season actually has the possibility of a team with 40+points go down again. So every point counts. It is incredibly competitive. I am interested to know if this season has had more eyeballs than when the big 4 or top 6 dominate.

Villa winning EL isn’t really relevant

It is relevant if they also finish fifth cos that means sixth place gets CL

Three points off conference league with two very very win-able games ahead

If we can’t beat Palace and Sunderland with nothing to play for then we don’t deserve to be in any European discussion

If we do beat them, I think we’ll get Europe with a big performance on the final day

Sadly, nothing in our form or season suggests we're taking 6 from 6 in these two games. More faith in us conceding a couple of last minute goals just to break us all a little bit more.

Its unlikely but still a possibility, so not irrelevant. We need to win all three though.
City winning the cup gives Europa to the runner up so will only benefit us if chelsea finish in a europa spot. Would prefer we did that ourselves.

City winning the cup means 8th will be Europe. Chelsea will only get Europe if they win the cup or qualify via the league - they can’t get Europe by losing the cup final.

Have a look at Bournemouths fixtures, and BHA, we can catch them both if we do win all three games

Before tonight a point would have been a decent result.

It’s the manner (again) of dropping points. The team must go to Palace now and win.

There’s plenty of football left, I wouldn’t rule us out, although it’s likely we will run out of games.

We should never be ruled out. but way we have lost points the last 6odd weeks, we should have been looking down on teams behind us, not up needing to win and hoping teams above lose

I think champions league was clearly there this season for us.

In a strange way I just want the conference though…beat up some Albanian plumbers and win a cup.

I could see us finishing 9th. But any higher feels a push.

I don't think there is anything in this squad that suggests to me we should be making the Champions League. Yeah, some teams like Liverpool have struggled but their squad is just so much better than ours in probably every single position.

I agree we probably shouldn’t be there. But seeing Bournemouth and Brentford be in the running - and considering where we were after Chelsea win…it was there for us.
