2025/26 David Moyes

So, to clarify, the way to tell if a signing was not authorised by Moyes is if they turn out not to be very good? Moyes has a 100% success rate and whoever else at the club makes the other signings has a 0% success rate?

Do you see why people can't take that argument seriously? Particularly as Moyes has said publicly, on more than one occasion, that he's in charge of transfers.

Based on attitude.
This isnt a tough one.
I liked Moyes first spell here because of players he brought to the club he tried to get team players. I see a team player in dewsbury hall. A player he'd have gone for in his first spell. I dont see the same in Barry.
Thats the third explantion. And the last lol.

Ok, which player was a Moyes signing, by the man himself, that failed here? Is there any? Because if not then you can't be taken seriously on this issue. He's not infallible, FFS, he's a very naughty boy.

I dont know. And i stated its just an opinion. Im not coming it at an angle that i hate the manager like you. I dont start from that base.
And it is tough as dewsbury hall to me looks yes. Barry looks no. Then we get onto Dibling. I cant judge that one from Moyes past. Theres very little there to say if Moyes would have ever signed him previously.

Moyes only likes good boys.

Royston Drenthe and Shandy Van were not good boys.

Turn up and not be a good boy? Nuh uh.

Wonder if his true calling was a dog trainer?

No, you're coming at it from an angle that the manager is completely faultless, which is quite the take. I don't hate Moyes, for the record, he's fine. My problem is that he's no better than fine and people tie themselves in knots trying to prove he's better than fine on all sorts of subjects. Transfers, for example.

I'd say exactly the same to someone saying Moyes is great because he 'signed off' on the signing of Dewsbury-Hall.
All signings are the responsibility of the manager. If they go well, great, he justly deserves the credit, if they go poorly then he has to accept a portion of the blame. It's nonsensical to claim that those that work out are down to the genius of Moyes but those that don't are down to nameless incompetents in the background. That's just propaganda. He either is involved in transfers or he is not.
