Without turning this into the Glasner thread, that's a very one eyed way of looking at it. He had Olise for 6 starts, Wharton was a teenager bought from the Championship, Eze and Guehi were both sold against his wishes, and Mateta was very much seen as a journeyman striker at that point and had scored 11 goals in 3 years at Palace before he took over. I think making out he took over a team that was widely seen as a European challenger is way off base. Also he did finish in the top half in that first season (and may again this year). But apart from that Mrs Lincoln...They havent won it yet. Suppose we have to throw that in first. And Moyes won that same trophy so technically its a crap trophy not even worth mentioning. Oh unless its another manager of course. Then it becomes worth it lol.
Decent manager Glazner. Not been that brilliant in the league if you dive into a bit further. He walked into a Palace squad with the likes of Eze Michael Olise Guehi Adam Wharton Mateta. Im not sure they've had a top half finish under him. I might be wrong but i think dougie freedman was doing their recruitment at the time.
I honestly dont know if he'd be good or not at Everton. For all the abuse Moyes gets about style of play etc. Palace have 36 goals this season. 5 less than Everton.
Not arsed about them, it just shows what a good manager can consistently do with a much smaller club, and not a flash in the pan, when you stop being a boring stubborn manager. But whats the direct nail in the coffin link with Moyes. Is it also a nail in the coffin for the 17 or 18 other managers in the league who wont win something this season as well.
You ok mate.
Was thinking about Lampard the other day and his recent success with Coventry.IMO, it's no coincidence Europa League winning manager goes to Crystal Palace, and wins an FA Cup, and is very close to winning another trophy.
Like Frank and Fabregas, I'll be interested to see how Glasner does at his next club.
we’ve been a mess for years new owners and come with moyes and we’re slowly buildin

What about his previous 11 years mate is that the same excuse. It also shows their recruitment just before he joined was way above Evertons. No matter how you see the size of a club you still need the tools to do something.

Mate he blew every big game he played, he's just blew Europe, how long do you want him here, give me years and I will tell you what will happen every season.Moyes didnt have a pot to piss in his first spell at Everton. As mad as it may seem now there was a reason he got anywhere near the Man United job with the couple of sides he built he
A million likes for you jago, that is exactly how I feel. Was over the moon when he left us for Utd in 2013, he did well for us last season when taking over from Dyche. This season has been the same old Moyes again, wont play young players, has his favourites. Can't believe it's 2026 and this is where we're at. Shiny new stadium but the same manager and tactics from 20 years ago.
I'm happy with him stabilising us but we've been here and I feel like we're going to be making a huge mistake if we give him money to spend.
Everton fans deserve better than watching Moyes try not to lose games. With the price rises we're now entitled to want and expect more.
