2025/26 David Moyes

Moyes for months has been talking up Europe, then when it gets to the crunch he wouldn't entertain talk of it in his press conference the other day.

That tells you all you need to know about Moyes when expectations are heightened.

He'll always be that manager who recoils from taking the big step forward.
Yep straight out of the Moyes playbook. The last three games have summed his approach up. Complete risk adverse mediocre manager.

When the season came down to the wire he’s absolutely flapped it as usual. 1 point from Brentford Liverpool and West Ham when then first two were in rubbish form and West Ham were under a ton of pressure.

We had a free swing but played like the relegation team in all 3.

Moyes will see that as only 1 point behind par though, Everton should only really get away draws and obviously aren’t good enough to ever get anything v Liverpool so he’ll have had us down for getting 2 points from those games and will be perplexed why fans are disappointed with 1.

Home form this season is alarming. Something like 6 won and 7 lost. That cant be right.

He doesn't look comfortable at that stadium to me - he's always referencing Goodiosn. That cant be right either.

He's just not right for this club. His time has come and gone here and this feels like a hangover now.

1 teenager who doesn’t play a 20yr old who gets 10/15 mins every week the rest are 23 and over. And even some of them don’t play. It’s was a fact a few months ago we had the oldest average starting 11. That may have changed slightly, but I’d bet my house we’re still in the top 3. Good old experience to get us 11th

….obviously that average will be skewed by Gueye being 36.

main gripe for me is this insistence on the first xi and refusing to change it

really hope iroegbunam and george at the very least come in for city

on one hand you could say hes took a side fighting relegation and made it one that is competing for europe, and the other hand you could say he has better players sitting on the bench that he refuses to play

Since the rules on number of substitutions changed you need a manager who can manage a squad and make in game changes. That manager is not David Moyes.

He practically threw the game away starting Barry despite what he said in P/C and knowing what Barry plays like and keeping him on. Then blamed sun for the performance really, when we only started to have a little go about half way 2nd half and for me only looked like we may score those final 10mins (which we off course did). From there i thought only one winner and that been us, but typical Everton have to destroy us fans again and again

ye its frustrating, the players are clearly knackered too as so many are flogged for 90

i love ndiaye but hes a 70 min player, he doesnt have the engine for 90 at prem level

gueye, he shouldnt be stsrting let alone 90 each week

james garner is a class player but hes not so good that he cannot leave the pitch
