2025/26 David Moyes

If we dont get Europe in this season he cant be handed a contract extension. Top half might allow him to see his contract out.

If he fails to get Europe though and the owners extend his contract they are sending out awful signals about their ambitions for this club.

Just get him down the road and end this. The manager they wanted is possibly still available, and if he isn't then there's a few good ones looking for a job who wont need compensating.

Strike while the iron is hot.

Alright disregard the part about spurs then, is anything else I've said really wrong? Have we not rolled over for every big team we've played? Been knocked out both cups by average to bad sides? Failed to really integrate any of our new signings other than Dewsbury-Hall?

Hes also played KDH out of position almost all season apart from his best games when he finally was used as an 8.

To the league position. Give Moyes better players, well finish higher in the table. Give another manager this squad and we finish mid table.

I don't see Moyes as the long term answer but nobody had us finishing top 8 this season. We will likely fall just short of that with moyes but that's the squad not the manager.
The problem with your reply is that Moyes spent big on Dibling and doesn't utilise him. That money could be better served in getting at least an adequate striker. We said last season that we need full backs, he got a youngster in and hasn't utilised him. He got another midfielder in Rohl and you guessed....he hasn't utilised him. My problem with him is he gives the likes of McNeil a good run of games and still hasn't recognised that he only gives a good game once in a blue moon. Moyes had wasted a good amount of money on players he refuses to play. None of those players have been given the chance of a run of games so they can ease in and produce what should be expected.

Almost forgot.....the bolded bit......isn't that where we are now.

No Europe no contract extension is perfectly reasonable.

The mistakes of last summers awful transfer recruitment must be addressed as well though.

Dibling, Rohl, Barry and Aznou have all been unmitigated disasters as we’ve not really seen 3 of them and the one we have seen is clearly not wanting to be here.

It cant be stressed enough that we are at present a point behind where Dyche had us in the points deduction season when the PL wanted gone....and after the squad additions from last summer.

The reboot from the new stadium move has gone terribly wrong. It's been a calamity.

We needed to be putting another 10-12 points on top of what Dyche could do with that team he had.

This job is too much for Moyes. He's a man out of his time. Never go back they say, and this is why they say it.

100 mill gets you one good player

No offence Matty but this is nonsense.

Plenty of players out there which absolutely do not have to cost 30/40/50 million each, let alone “one good player for 100 million”

Yes you are ‘hopefully’ bettering your chances of a good player at those fees.

But so many teams around us have proven there are good quality players out there that don’t cost the earth. It’s about having the right scouting strategy & a coach who’s on board.

Numerous examples of ‘value’ signings by Brighton, Bournemouth & Brentford back that up.

100 million can go a long way ‘if’ invested well.

I agree to a point.

But to counter that you’ve only got to look at some of the players Brighton, Brentford & Bournemouth have signed for low ish fees to know they are out there.

Not every player has to cost 30/40/50 million to be good.

Those 3 clubs have proven that time & time again.
They sign young players & develop them.

We sign young players and David Moyes ruins them.

West Ham were so 'kin bad as well. Can't wrap my head around it. Only danger they had was Summerville and we failed to find an answer to that. Was destroying us for the full 90.

Why can't we get Ndiaye on the ball that much.

Because Moyes tactics dont change. Same all season like with Grealish.

When George came on he was a threat and so they couldnt focus on Ndiaye.

Is my name now "nobody" as I said 8th should be the target as progress.

Fail to get 8th and the lack of player development and he should be sacked.
