….i’ve said he maybe should’ve freshened things up but up until the last minute of the Derby we were on a good run. We hammered Chelsea a few weeks ago and all was well, such is the fickle nature of football.

I’d be amazed if anybody in authority in the club is thinking about replacing Moyes as he’s done a terrific job.
We're in the bottom half of the table. If anyone in the club thinks he's done a terrific job then I'd be extremely concerned.

He's done a fair job. 11th place is average. Certainly not terrible but definitely not terrific.

This is a valid point. I would say though teams like Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth have been fine tuning there well run clubs for quite some time now, before we were awful when we were throwing cash at three different number 10’s for example.

So while (and I am not a massive fan of the term personally) a bigger club than them, they scouting and planning is probably years ahead of ours and we are playing catch up.

Look at Bournemouth. Real took there best CB in the summer, City took there best attacker in the winter and they are still doing excellently. They have a plan and a strategy which is (hopefully I assume) we have been doing since the takeover.

Iraola improves players to the level of being big money signings for the worlds best sides.

Moyes does not.

We hammered Chelsea but in hindsight they've just sacked the manager that was in place as they were taking a beating every week.

Other than that, have we really put in any absolutely outstanding performances or won any games that we wouldn't be expected to win? Villa maybe, but they're a streaky team. Rolled over for all the sky 6 teams, out of the cups to Sunderland and Wolves, we lost 3-0 to this spurs team which should be a sackable offence by itself tbh.

He's done a good job creating togetherness and resilience among the group of players he likes, I'll give you that. But players that fall outside of that group have been treated pretty poorly, and looking at the results we've had this season on paper I would really struggle to see how exactly he's done a 'terrific job'

Personally I would be amazed if our billionaire yank owner is satisfied with mid table mediocrity. I know not all agree with that and more than a few posters think they're just here for the real estate and money making opportunities. Imo - two groups of people who are generally uncomfortable with the optics of mediocrity are yanks and billionaires.
Spurs went 3rd after beating us 3-0. It wasn’t this spurs.

In Moyes we rust ; he's like a strait laced civil servant from the 1950s, totally averse to any risks. We need somebody of the ilk of Oliver Reed, somebody who knew how to give a good time, highs and lows, whereas now, we just have bloody lows. Bring some excitement back to the club, it's all so terribly draining, season, after season, after season.

there’s a chance that every team excluding a small handful of teams (including Everton) and the promoted teams have European football next season hahahahaa
