⚠️ A Quick Note for New Members: Why can't I see my posts?

If you’ve just joined and noticed your posts aren't appearing immediately, don't worry - to keep the forum high-quality and free from spam or "wind-up merchants," we use a brief moderation period for all newcomers:
  1. The Queue: Your first few posts will be placed in a moderation queue for approval by our moderators.
  2. Full Access: Once you have had five posts approved, the training wheels come off! Your posts will appear instantly across the forum from that point forward and you will also have access to direct messages to non-staff.

Hi! I'm Dallin from the US. I am a professor at the University of Georgia here in the US (Go Dawgs!) and have been an Everton fan for over 10 years now. My Step Mum is from England and is a Gooner and when I would visit her and my Dad, they would have PL matches on. I decided I should pick a team, and found an article that compared PL teams to American teams in the MLB and NFL. They compared Everton's School of Science to the Oakland Athletics and Moneyball. I thought that was as good a choice as any, and I've been pleasantly miserable ever since.

I made it to Liverpool just in time to see the Toffees play one time in Goodison and had an amazing experience! (Including the Pickford stop on the Gordon penalty shot...). Looking forward to seeing a game at Hill Dicky!

Oh, and found the forum looking on the Google for information about matches possibly being rescheduled. Have lurked now and again for the past few years.
