Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Getting a phone call from a different surgeon today regarding my hip replacement, hopefully he has good news and I can get it soon here, otherwise I could be going private

The pain I have is very bad, I have bone on bone and wouldn’t wish the pain on anyone, so hopefully I get the news I’m looking for 🤞
Its awful pain, drags you down. Having my hip replacement was the best thing ever. My other one going now but its not at that awful stage yet.

Fingers crossed it all works out for you quickly……

Noticed a few of the regular posters on here have not been on for a while, hopefully they are just taking a break and all is good with them
Yes ,I hope being on here did it's job ,it has been such solace to some and could be for others in the future . I imagine @Val P is literally tied up with the preparations for tomorrow's match as for @jazzy and @Barnfred 55 ,I hope they are on a short pause as the thread needs them ,who can I argue with ?

I hope this link works for you. It was published in Easter Week but I couldn’t link the newspaper without a subscription. Found it just now and thought perfect to share with you wonderful people.

I really like that article. I definitely believe the feather thing. I occasionally find white feathers in our house. No idea where they come from ( no it isn't the cat decimating the bird population!). When my brother moved to Australia 20 years ago, he became friends with a bloke from Widnes who had also emigrated at the same time. They later discovered that his sister was in my class at secondary school!

I love to read the posts on here but hate to post as I feel I'm butting in

I was looking at some recipe books of my mother yesterday, must admit there was little tear in my eye. Wish though my writing was as good as hers, mines an absolute scrawl, no matter how slow I write - should have become a doctor.
When our son was born I joked that he would grow up to be a doctor. Needless to say he didn’t become one but he most certainly has terrible handwriting.😂

Welcome @Littlesue ,we all try to help and you can do that too. A fresh face livens it all up . A young face is all the more welcome . All we ask is you are civil and respectful ,for the most part and we shy away from serious subjects that can annoy others ,although I have be known to cause a flutter here and there , in mood that is !

I can assure you a young face is what I can't offer lol.

Hello all. I'm sure your daughter will have a lovely day @peteblue - sad that her Mum and Dad won't be there but happy to be getting married. You and Kay will be with her in spirit.
@Gwladysover my friend who keeps alpacas spins all their wool herself . She's a pro on her spinning wheel!
Not much to report- I did overtime this morning, we've got Frankie this afternoon until 6. He's 1 next week.I can't believe he's been here for a whole year.
Very nervous about tomorrow. A win would be huge but I'm preparing for dodgy decisions, disappointment and a feeling of injustice!
Mr F's aunt whose 100th birthday we attended last year, passed away last week. She would have been 101 yesterday. A life well lived though - sharp as a tack, still drinking, still smoking! I'd take that.
Have a good day all x
