Summer transfer window.

….not forgetting, players have to agree to a transfer. Beto might not want a new deal or a move this summer.

It’s often not straightforward this transfer business.
Agreed. Considering the PL wages that could always be a pain. But we should at least try to move him on and get an upgrade.

I'd do what I could to sign Thiago from Brentford. If he's £60mil then sell one of the other two for £20mil and bring him in.

Remember, Moyes signed: Beattie, Johnson & Yakubu all for big fees.

Would not shock me if he broke our transfer record for a CF.
Thiago would be an insane buy but I'm afraid that ship has sailed for us.

I would be hesitant about signing any player who goes to Saudi when they have their pick of clubs across Europe in the prime of their career.
Fair enough.
He clearly is only motivated by money and nothing else, which might not mesh well with the character of the team.
But he’s taken care of business by now - he and his family must be set for generations of comfortable living, assuming they are reasonably sensible.

So arguably he’d be joining us with purely (ok, mostly) sporting ambitions?

Quite surprised at the amount of ppl so against Delap.

He looks to me to be the type Moyes likes, and his profile of a good prospect not quite making it at the top top clubs is something that works for us.

KDH and NDiaye are the same, and they are great for us now.

If his name was a 'Carlos Kickaball', some would like the idea more.

"Quite surprised Everton fans aren't interested in signing an injury-prone on-pitch thug that doesn't play well and already jibbed us off last Summer"

Hmm.

Don't start me showing you the injury records of players again? Why wouldn't anyone start that? Or do you think I hack into transfermarkt and doctor peoples records. You seem to get upset any time I show you a player with repeating injuries.
Bro he's had a hammy, a shoulder injury and been ill this year. Last year clean bill of health.

So what repeating injuries are we talking about?

Get down off the saddle son

I never said Delap had repeated injuries - I said he's injury prone. 3 spells out in our year for a striker that's known only for being physical is not a great look.
