I'd do what I could to sign Thiago from Brentford. If he's £60mil then sell one of the other two for £20mil and bring him in.

Remember, Moyes signed: Beattie, Johnson & Yakubu all for big fees.

Would not shock me if he broke our transfer record for a CF.

I don't think it's impossible to be fair and the Yakubu example is a good one. Brentford will be more than happy to sell for twice what they paid, he's most likely to stay in the Prem because of the combination of fee and wages, and if you look at the clubs who would look to pick him up, it would probably see us competing with the likes of Newcastle, maybe Spurs if they stay up. Can we beat them to a signing? Well we've got more chance than we had a year ago, that's for sure.

Imagine how much fun he'd have in training games. If he could slot 2 or 3 goals in our league matches then everyday training he'd be loving life.

I wouldn't buy anybody from Saudi. If they've gone over there before their 'twilight' years then there's clearly a lack of ambition and a touch of the mercenary about them.

Toney will leave now because he's publicly called the saudi league corrupt in the last few weeks. I would imagine he is fast out staying his welcome over there.

It was said he couldn’t move until this summer for tax reasons..

I would be hesitant about signing any player who goes to Saudi when they have their pick of clubs across Europe in the prime of their career.

He clearly is only motivated by money and nothing else, which might not mesh well with the character of the team.
