Didn’t see anything on the main site, but the U16s are at a tournament in Greece today through the weekend, first match Thursday. Opponents all look to be local clubs, so probably a cake walk.
Based on the U15s roster from the other week and the U16s tournament in the Middle East around this time last year, guessing that the roster will be composed mostly of “promising” U15 players and U16s who are on the cusp or not likely to get a scholarship for next season.

….its that time of the season where lots of youngsters up and down the country will be released from clubs. It’s not all glamour and wealth, there’ll be plenty of heartbreak.

I’m not going to pretend to have the slightest understanding of inner workings of an academy, but always felt there should be a lot more tournaments at this time of year so Cat 2s can get a look at the Cat1s not getting a scholarship, Cat3s at the Cat2s etc

….nice memory, I played a bit for Runcorn back in their Northern Premier League days when they played at Canal St right on the banks of the river.
