Moyes regrets selling Faddy

Good bit of business maybe, but he could have got a goal or two to give us vital points to secure Europe next year...

If we sold him the January last season - we wouldn't have been in Europe this year. (goal vs Charlton and Metalist).

Personally, I would have liked to have kept him until at least the summer. His valuation wouldn't have changed.

I dont think it would've made a difference. Strikers are only good when they get good service, we just arent delivering the service to Yak, AJ or Vic to be honest.

Midfield is a problem, not whether we should've had another striker on the bench IMO

It was time for the lad to go for his own career, i think we have missed him though, ok he wasnt the most consistent in front of goal but he gave us an x factor in our play that we have lacked since he left, remeber that goal against charlton last season.

Whatever happened to that Majid Bougherra or whatever his name was that Faddy just bamboozled (i.e. flicked the ball past) before he scored that goal?

Is he still with them?

We were linked with him and I'm guessing he's wishing he signed for us instead of Charlton you think?

I think hes still there mate, that was a bizarre won i think we bid for him and he decided to go to Charlton, i am sure it had nothing to do with money though!

Moyes would never had said that if we hadn't been crippled by injuries, it was time for him to go

Agreed Monty. But in truth we need more numbers to rotate tired legs. I think at least four or five have been players less than 100%. Johnson and Yak have been off form which deffo is the service from the midfield. I think Moyes needs a least two more prominent midfielders to go with Fernandes and Pienaar.

Hey if Brum gets relegated!. Granted he wasn't able to contribute much for us but I do miss him.

Well Moyes did offer him a new contract (more than Brum offered). The kid deserved a chance to play 1st team football. And it wasn't a mistake, we had a healthy set of strikers back then. Faddy would have prob wanted to play out the season if he knew what would have happened too.

at the time i thought his fee was too little, every player is overvalued in the english market i figured he'd go for a couple million more for his international career alone.

in short i'm not sure if the move was that good for us, but it was definitely the best thing for Faddy's career. despite wearing a different blue shirt now i'd still say i'm a fan of his and i hope he continues to develop.

wouldn't be surprised to see him struggling for games at a big 3 club in a couple years (similar to alan smith at manchester)
