2025/26 Thierno Barry

Stay. He's a lightening rod for the weirdos, self-righteous super blooos, and piss babies.

If he does a fashion shoot sporting Culottes over pre-season i'd say give him a new 5 year deal. Then sit back and enjoy years of guaranteed fume and head popping.

He`s become the new " DCL fume replacement ".

Just needs him to start wearing eyeliner and kitten heels now.

Its either him or Beto and Beto has a year left on his deal.

I think if over the next 7 games he can make an impact and be involved with 4 goals through finishes and/or assists then he'll get a full preseason.

Along with a new centre forward.
We need to send Barry to a Basket ball team in the USA as that's all he is fit for .... never a footballer....

Six goals playing his first season in a tough league, in a new country. People need to back off a little and give the lad some time to adjust.
I've never known supporters back off and give a player time to adjust in the way we have Barry. He's been really fortunate that fans got fed up of Moyes flip-flop tactic of starting him one game and Beto the next, and decided we might as well watch Barry having a run of games. He was applauded off the pitch after performances that were average at best, the roof almost came off the stadium when he got his goals. He's had great support but that's not unconditional forever, he has to start doing a bit more to keep that support, particularly following his actions on social media.

So now he’s suddenly become good over the international break, until he gets a few minutes and we quickly see how utterly woeful he is again
I don't think he's suddenly good but I also don't think he's as terrible as people have been making out. He is a work in progress player that's shown some really good moments during his first season but also some really bad moments. We needed to sign a striker that was more or less the finished article and in Barry we didn't do that. That was a mistake from the recruitment team to only sign him but it's also silly from fans to have believed he was the finished article and there wouldn't be some serious bedding in. I don't think he will ever become a Lukaku for us but he could become a 10 goal a season in the league player for us which is good enough to be one of the options in the squad and worth keeping this summer. Id move on Beto and bring in that finished article player.

He's poop mate. The whole new country thing only lands for so long. Some people travel the world at 18 so don't gimme a sob story for the multi millionaire from France who played in Belgium, Switzerland and Spain previously. Not good enough, end of.

Why Basketball, what made you think of that sport? He may not be very good at Basketball, unless you have seen him play, which is then fair enough to use Basketball in your comment about what other sports he could be suited for. I also believe he is a footballer, I have seen it with my own eyes and everything. He may not be a very good footballer (although I don't think he is as bad as some are making out).

I think the whole new country thing has its merits, regardless of how much you earn, or how old you are. I moved to a different country, that does not speak English as a native language, at 35. There were much younger people than me who seemingly coped better than I did. Most of them were not getting paid as much as I was, so finances doesn't come into it. I was finding it OK, but there were times when my mental health was taking a hit.

I think this kind of comment is what some people see footballers, as people without human emotions. There is family, friends, food, culture to consider when discussing this. Then add that some of this is being played out in public and that can certainly add to the factors of a settling in period being longer.

Personally, I don't think he is good enough for where we want to be, but as mentioned above he is not as bad as some make out.

Utter woke nonsense.

Joking aside, have to disagree. You adapt or you fail. Fight or fight kicks in. I worked abroad, I didn't sulk, didn't hide. Got on with and then moved out of Glasgow. Life lessons learnt 😉
