Don’t think TFG / Auberge owned the site though did they? Auberge operated it and will continue to do so after this foreclosure and buy out.
They do something similar with a new hotel in London that they operate.
Seems their model is often to just operate and brand these properties while they are actually owned by a separate entity

It’s not clear who the money is behind that special purpose entity as it’s not publicly available information, however friedkin group have been involved in that property from the start, so it’s hard to believe it’s not at least partly owned
