Forgot to mention that obviously the fact we were having the worst season in our history and had 3 different managers clearly wouldn't have helped.

He apparently said it was bigger than just that but at that age you sometimes don't recognise how much things can affect you.

I saw an old friend couple of weeks ago whose nipper is in our academy and he said he something interesting about Tyler.

Apparently around this time last year he was confiding in friends that he really wasn't enjoying the life of a professional footballer and everything which came with it.

He loved coming up in youth football and playing with all his mates etc (I suspect the fact he found it so easy played a part too) but had struggled with the switch to first team and the associated pressures.

Obviously I have no way of knowing for certain if this is true, but the bloke in question I go back 30 years with so see no reason why he'd lie, and it might partially explain why hes struggling to settle so much up there.

I'm sure some will shoot me down for this but sharing anyway as reckon plenty would find it interesting.

Personally I hope it's not true / he gets over it as otherwise he'll definitely never reach his clearly very high potential.

I see this all the time in amateur football, men's football is a completely different game to kids / Youth football.

My son quit for that very reason.

With every step up in age group or league, the associated pressure increases with each step, both physically and mentally.

It`s not just footy, it`s every competitive sport.

The transition from playing youth footy, to adults is night and day, the speed, the physicality and the fact that you have grown men " threatening " you during the game is a really big leap for most kids. Which is why they introduced U21`s / U23`s leagues, as it was recognised, that so many young lads were packing in, as the transition was too much for them.

I think he likes some of the other players (rohl) we will see the best of next season, been a frustrating season for him, but valuable time bedding in and adapting.

Massively talented lad, needs time, patience and games next season.
This should be it. Those saying he's rubbish etc based on a few minutes here and there, or worse, those who have already decided he's not a premier league footballer, need to take a break from this thread and go do something else

I'm sure there's a very boring chat about Grealish being worth the money for the armchair experts to go and get involved with

…..summer transfer window will be interesting.

If we re-sign Grealish then him and Ndiaye will almost certainly be starters. No idea what the plans are with George who currently looks ahead of Dibling in the pecking order. A bigger concern for him is if we do bring in another right winger, Karetsas linked today.

I think Dibling has really disappointed, surely there’s little doubt about that and it’s perfectly reasonable to say so. That doesn’t mean he’s no future here but he’s got to markedly improve which I genuinely hope he does. It’s up to him, no excuses.
