Relegation Thread 25-26

Spurs fans are abandoning them, at least in our few battles the fans stayed and boooooed properly at the end, today there was about a 5 second boooo by the few that hadn't left at the full time whistle, not fitting for a side in their position. I've said for a few weeks that the players don't look arsed and getting humped 3-0 at home to one of your rivals wont do their fragile confidence any good, A lot of spurs players thinking about a new club for next season by the looks of it.

All the other teams at the bottom have been through it before and know what's needed, spurs it's all new , that was shocking performance for a must win game.
They played ok at times in the first half but it’s the little things, running around a lot is not brave but taking responsibility in a pressurised situation is.

The other sides down there have more about them.

I think if Spurs drop into the bottom 3 they'll struggle to get out of it, but whilst they remain ahead of West Ham I think they'll pick up more points on the run in
Aside from the obvious poor results in what was a proverbial six pointer two things stood out for me today…

1. The supporters are probably asking themselves what the point was of the bus greeting, if it had no effect (and they’ll need the supporters online). I nipped on to their fans forum, they aren’t getting that support (at least online) and…
2. How drastically a poorly timed goal can affect their performance / confidence levels. First half performance was a lot different to the second half from what I could see.

I’d have them as favourites for the drop on current form.

I want Spurs down wish west ham had won today. they could have been 5 points in front of spurs before spurs played again. Sadly I don’t think they will do enough to overtake Spurs and will go down.

Over the last 10 games West Ham have picked up 15 points, Forest and Leeds 11, Spurs just 3. Over the last 6 it does tighten up a little bit as West Ham and Forest only have 6, Leeds 4. They have all only lost 2 of those 6. To me that suggests these 3 will keep grinding out points here and there, probably making the tally to be safe about 35-37 points.

Over the last 6 games Spurs have 1 point. We all keep expecting them to pick some form up at some point, but the games are running out and the other teams have momentum.

Weve been through the ringer far too many times.

For some, 94 is fresh, for others 98 is close. Our "good times" constituted us finishing 4th and being diddled out of Europe by Collina, as paid by UEFA. They've been blindsided by CL Qualifications and a EL win. Masking their systemic problems.

I always truly believe what Everton means to the fans means more than it does to a lot of clubs. Years of over exposure for Spurs and outpricing means their heart of the fanbase is ripped out. When the chips are down, we rally. When theirs are down, they boo and leave at half time.

Throwing the dice at Ryan Mason or Tim Sherwood now would be a huge gamble. Why they persisted with Thomas Frank for as long as they did it a huge surprise.

I think West Am are a bit more used to being at the wrong end of the table and were probably planning for a possible backs to the wall run in to stay in the PL. Spurs thought that all their problems were solved by getting CL by winning a trophy last year and completely forgot they finished 17th. West Am, Forest and Dirty Leeds will have a bit of fight in them to scrap it out to stay up, Spurs I don`t think have it in them. If West Am get above them it would really put Spurs under serious pressure.
Its very nice to be looking at someone else in a dire position in the PL and our only worries are will we get into Europe or not, will it be EL or Conference league, or will we push on and get a CL spot.
