2025/26 David Moyes

So did I. We were camped in their half for most of the second half, they were relying on break aways. I don't think effort was lacking at all, I agree that quality was. I think it was quite telling that the crowd were so much behind the team last night and stand by my original comment that we've performed much worse at home this season.
Fair comment. However, the yardstick that we've performed much worse at home isn't a good one considering the woeful displays we've served up.
I'm hoping it's new surroundings syndrome and we'll settle down next season.

A view from outside

Would post this in every thread if I wasn't lazy

Not saying this random utd fan on twitters opinion is the be all and end all, but it's depressing how clear and obvious our issues are. If oppostion fans can see it, opposition managers will take advantage of it.

Fully expect Moyes to persist with the same tactics for the rest of the season though.

I kind of understand the safe pair of hand shout, I understand some people misty eyed over his last stint here, what I don't get are the let him stay and build a squad, I doubt anybody whether for or against him, can say what tactics we use, what the game plan is, what players have improved since he arrived, our set pieces, both offensive and defensive are atrocious considering we always have at least 3 CBs on the pitch, football has moved on since he and Irvine 1st arrived unfortunately them 2 haven't

In a perverse way losing points is the best thing for us. With this manager and the squad we have European football could well be the kiss of death for us next season,Moyes can't get a 90+ minute performance out of them once a week never mind twice. Would TFG heavily invest if we did sneak into a place? Somehow doubt we have the financial headroom to spend what it would need to make sure we could play in Europe and be comfortable in the Prem.

He's improved Garner to be fair

he’s still in for me

but GOT to leg the same starters now

they’re offering zero
I love your positivity Matty, and would like to be able to keep backing him, but he is making it very very hard..

If he stays til his contract runs out, do you really want to see him given the purse strings in the summer because that worry's me more than anything..

Although I still dont believe all transfers have been down to him..

Watching last night was a sucker punch, not sure how many more of them I can take without him aiming them at the opposition instead of us..

Stop being so stubborn (Moyes), when your issues are in plain sight..

4 fb's in our squad and he moves Garner and Branthwaite..
In nobody's world is that tactical genius..

Totally soul destroying for the fans at Hill Dickinson. I am not looking forward to any more home matches as we know what to expect, I will still go but its going to be friggin awful.

I've lost the enjoyment for it unfortunately. I can't believe how many tickets I've turned down this season, most of them for free. Its not even the hassle of getting there and back, its just the mind numbing football on show. At least at home you can switch it off and go about your business. At the game, you know you're going to be getting home around 11:30pm after the match. I just can't be doing with that anymore. Years of just dreadful, negative football watching footballers paid 50k+ a week struggle to put 3 passes together and a manager who is one of the highest paid in the league set up as if we're playing Real Madrid, yet at least 3 times a game every player ends up so high up the pitch we get countered as he doesnt select anyone with pace at the back.

Unreal support from thousands to stick at it and keep going and last night was just another game where I thought "I'm glad I didn't go tonight".

Guess its just football in general but its just more gut wrenching watching your own club just be happy with existing and no ambition to even cross a half way line and attack. That line up yesterday....I wouldn't be shocked if a few just stayed in the pub or turned back and went home once it was announced
