2025/26 David Moyes

There was me thinking that Palace selling their best players had something to do with it!

That also tends to lead to a downward trend. Something we have done year on year since Ancleotti’s first season up until the Friedkin take over.

James, Digne, Bernard, Richarlison, Gordon, Iwobi, Onana, Allan, Godfrey, Gomes, Moise Kean, Lookman, Mina

All out the door to keep the lights on.

Digne was out the door to keep some D bag's lights on.

Some utter nonsense in here. I’ll tell you this too - the only people even considering binning Moyes in the summer are posters on here.

100% will not have even crossed the minds of TFG.
Absolutely 100% correct mate.
Don't know why the cryarse's keep spouting this nonsense.
You don't hear it anywhere else in life.
They seem to represent a tiny faction of society that exist in an alternative reality / universe on here.

I think Moyes should stay on for at least another season, we’re still steadying the ship, it’s too soon to be gambling on a fly boy manager with a fancy name.

The irony in here is laughable, people slating Moyes and somehow linking us to ‘better’ managers because we are challenging for Europe. Yet not giving any credit to the man who turned us from a relegation team to contenders in half a season.
Any manager with half a brain would be suspicious of our fans.
He's done a good job but previous history here shows us that Moyes has a glass ceiling that he is incapable of breaking through.

Ffs...." steadying the ship?" We will have sailed around the world twice before some of you show some desire to actually be a " good" team:) Im fine with plodding along with EPL mediocrity, putting money in the owners pockets and keeping Moyes, Irvine and their mates in jobs well past their sell by dates....just change the bloody club motto!

The concept of NSNO was made redundant at Everton decades ago. Perhaps in time we might look back at the current owners as the ones who brought it back.

If their only ambition is to keep plodding along as a premier league club doing nothing of note and relevance every year, well they have their man right now for that type of job in David Moyes.

But - maybe sit down for this because it might be a shock - we’re just people giving opinions on a forum and we don’t expect the club to listen to them. Me saying personally I’d get rid of Moyes in the summer is no different to you saying you’d like us to sign a right back. We’re not in charge, our comments don’t mean anything in the grand scheme of things, but if we’re not going to give our opinions about Everton what exactly do you you think the forum is here for?

Peace and Harmony amongst all !!

I would reason with this with a bit of realism.

It has been mentioned that we all want to win every game, we all want to win every trophy every year. But, there is a sliding scale of patience.

Some are demanding near that now, some are wanting it now but realise that it isn't that easy in the real world. We can see progress and we want to see more, and also have different thoughts about how that can be done.

I am on the scale that we see where we are at, at the end of the season. If we are there or thereabouts for Europe, then there is no big reason to sack the manager. We would be showing that we are on the right path.

Oh, and don't change the motto as

1: It is even more important to use it. The last 5 years are far from satisfying, it is a but more satisfying at the moment but we all still want to improve, so the full satisfaction (nothing but the best) is returned. We should be aiming for the motto, not changing it.

2: I have it tattooed on my arm, so I would not be happy if it was changed

If we finish 8-9 what gives you assurance that he can progress further?

For me, we have seen Moyes do it before. We progressed into European qualification from a similar base position before, so why not now.

Obviously things are different now, in terms of Moyes himself and the how the league is competing. It may be a little harder than it was, but I believe that Moyes is able enough to get us to a point where we are progressing enough that there is a good possibility of a smooth transition of management.

I suppose, the same question can be asked the other way. What makes people think we would regress, if we finished 8-9?

It is all opinions. I may be wrong, they may be wrong. The closeness of the league this season is throwing a lot of doubt either way. Anybody can beat anybody on their day. Hopefully we are on the end of more right results. We certainly have enough players who can produce those moments that make the difference in games.
