New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

No. I think it’s just a noise to try and create an atmosphere before the game.

I like it, but do understand that we have to nitpick absolutely everything about the new ground.
I love the siren , missed it when it wasn’t there .not sure I’ve ever heard anyone moan about it , had no idea it was perceived as an issue

What I don’t get is why the pitch is bigger than Goodison? I get that the ‘Gwladys’ has switched ends but there is absolutely nothing to make the players feel even vaguely that the ground is familiar.

I mean, they are probably still getting used to the fact that there’s hot water in the toilets.
Making the pitch 5m longer than it was at Goodison is to comply with international standards. Hence why we will get those games and others ( whose pitches don't comply) won't.

Make it bigger for those games. Leave it the same for the league games rather than letting us play on an alien pitch

First, they said the pitch wouldn't fit in the ground, and now they're complaining it's too big. Everton, never, ever change.
Im just speculating, not complaining on behalf of others. Just adding things together to understand why the players aren’t finding a seamless transition

The first team pitch at Finch Farm is of the same dimensions as the pitch, alongside the grass. They train on it each and every day.

Instead, the issue is more with how we're trying to play.

Somebody tell me if the grass is too long/short so I can have a right moan about it.
The grass simply isn't dense enough, it should be 7:1 for the ratio of natural to plastic, but its actually 7.5:1. Its affects the way the ball moves cause it needs more water. To save money they use water from the mersey. That means that the water had salt in it and it gets into the eyes of our strikers, meaning they cant see anything because of continued exposure. Its why we're getting worse and opposition arent affected. Nothing to do with the length and its ridiculous for you to even suggest that as an issue. Dont blame the grass cutting team, blame the designers.

Plenty of crabs infecting the players as well.

Without KDH, Grealish and the other obvious deficiencies then yes there are gaps. However the idea of ‘home advantage’ in the first season or so is probably minimised dramatically. There will be stats which I’m not aware of apart from Rob Green on motd after Brighton saying teams often win the first then struggle.

in the ground everything is different from basics including the size and which way we attack to the home end.

This isn’t the only issue but it’s clearly a factor. Having the same dimensions as Goodison would surely have helped

I get that designs change, but any idea why the South stand was originally meant to be a single tier stand and then changed?

That was just the initial render for a.60k stadium. If you look on the right hand side, it's 3 tiers on the West Stand.

They ended up putting the riser in the middle of the South Stand to enable safe standing in the lower tier and it not obstructing the view for those that sit in the upper
