2025/26 David Moyes

Are you sure? They have the most players at AFCON and had over 10 players missing against Leeds a few weeks back

Just out of interest i had a look at how many appearences(starts) their bench has had in the prem this season. 66 games.
Evertons bench today was 13 and everyone of them was barry. The other 8 on the bench total prem appearences 0.
I get you dont like him and all that but thats ridiculous lol. 8 on the bench without a single game.

We got to one final and 2 semis with him…

But in that final vs chelsea he played a half fit Tony Hibbet rather than Jacobson…and for the first 45 minutes Chelsea attacked down that right hand side constantly as it was obvious he wasn’t fit

Only at HT did he take hibbet off…

You know why he did that because

it’s hibbos fault?

I think my biggest issue without going into transfers is the lack of playtime before this point for the players that are having to play now. We knew all season that Gana and Ndiaye would not be available for this period, so why weren't we trying to integrate Dibling more often rather than waiting till the latter half of December for him to get any meaningful minutes, you could even say the same of McNeil for as awful as he's been, he hardly played himself until not much before this period and is suddenly playing every 90 and expected to be up to whatever speed you think he might be capable of.

Aznou got his first appearance of the season in the last 5 minutes of a FA Cup game that looked like it was going nowhere and was able to make an impact. Why was he not given any opportunity to do so before now? Even as a winger option similar to how he managed Coleman when he first broke through if his defensive work is considered an issue. Patterson the same, he hardly gets a look in unless O'Brien is needed at CB and while he's had his issues I think it benefits the team's overall balance to have a natural RB there long term than a 6'5 CB.

The injury, suspension and AFCON situation is tough and would've made for difficult games no matter what, but I feel like the situation has been made far worse by our lack of preparedness for a period like this when we knew it was coming. AFCON was always happening, injuries and suspensions were likely for a squad like ours, why haven't we prepared for it at all.

Kinnear is head of it mate, he has set it up that way.

That's just snidiness from Kinnear to save his own skin. He's probably difficult because the players being suggested aren't good enough.
Honestly mate, you need to have a lie down in a dark room, if you think Moyes ain’t in control. We don’t have a DOF, because Moyes said he wouldn’t come and manage with one

No maybe’s at all, he’s getting found out every week by younger managers and set piece coaches. The football is a tiny bit better than dyche, but it’s not that great at all. What is the plan, what do they do on the training ground
i don’t no. but ok ariola who’s the bees knees to dave we beat

glasner we beat

i’m not saying we’ve been barca the past week as we’ve been turd

i’m not defending moyes for those games

No we lost due to quality in the end but their goals did come down his side

But my point is he is stubbon and always has been…he could play patterson but he’d rather shoe horn a 6’5 CB in at RB than play the actual RB at the club

patterson maybe now he will keep his place? we looked more balanced

but you play your best players in the proper positions

if he’s not going to pick patterson

then sign a RB

Total rubbish. Moyes insisted on control of transfers or he wouldn't take the job. Hence Thelwell going. He also wanted James Smith to be Director of Scouting and Recruitment. Kinnear is just doing the PR.

Did amazing when he took over, better than I imagined because I'm not a fan of his. But... It's so stale now.

He's an old school manager in a league that's showing that new, young managers with fresh ideas are the way to go.

These last three home games are enough for me to say we need to move on. Absolutely no desire to attack and take the game to the opposition.
