New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

It happened against Newcastle it kicked off and it was more than pushing and shoving , going to be an issue going forward
There were some right gobby idiots coming out of the Brentford away section goading Evertonians but were put right by their own fans before they got to the plaza where the very limited segregation ends.

I think it will be very challenging when the likes of Leeds,Utd and LFC come to the ground.

Sorry I know for you lot this will have been asked a million times, but didn't want to start a thread. Where can I grab a drink pre-match near the stadium (if possible?)

Obviously this is the biggest away allocation you'll of have, and a bit unprecedented so far. So anyone know if the police are going to be heavy handed with away/ home only pubs - or they'll allow us to mix? We haven't really heard anything our end, and while I expected very limited trouble - I'd totally understand if the police are weary...

If you were from Hartlepool I think The Hangman would be an appropriate venue.

Always get a warm welcome at The Lisbon…very popular with GOT members and naive visitors 😉

Yup. As supporters, we have been rubbish for years.

When we do get behind them, we are like a 12th man - like the Palace game.

Our new home has been louder than Goodison was towards the end, but that really isn't saying anything

The thing is we've had nothing to shout about in the Premier League era, that's why most memorable games are more relegation escapes which has seen the fans really turn up. Not many big European nights either. We've won 2 European knockout ties since the 80s and they had big first leg away wins anyway. Big nights like Villareal and Fiorentina tinged by losing the tie. Even the couple of League Cup semi finals we've had we've lost. Last season at Goodison and it's no Europe and out of both cups at home in the early rounds.

How many seasons of good football have we seen at Goodison in Premier League? A few maybe out of 30+. The fans are starved of joy and now are paying a lot more to watch the same rubbish. The atmosphere will improve with having more to shout about.

Your best bet will be The Lisbon in town if you want avoid any hands on approach.

Ten Streets Social might the best bet on Regent Road as it’s quite spacious inside. The bars/pubs closest to ground will be rammed and be lucky to get in. Not even sure what time places will be open with it being such an early kick off.

If you’re drinking in town pre-game make sure to give yourselves a good 45-60mins to walk to ground and get through wall/security.

Good point concerning the Green Brigde. However, they had to fight tooth and nail to get that past the Celtic owners and they are constantly at the whim of those director's who now target them.

In other words: an ultra type curve like you suggest requires some semi-autonomy from the club in order to build up its fanaticism and the atmosphere it generates.

Can you see Everton Stadium Operator co ltd or EFC or whoever countenancing that?

Having the purpose-built safe-standing section from the offset would suggest at least some receptiveness to the notion of a "singing" section(s), if you'll pardon the expression. The upper corner section is at maximum rake angle, so possibly not ideal for safe-standing, and might need to be a slightly more subtle "organic" marketing process to make it work. I know many people have asked for the whole end to be safe-standing..... but I'm not yet sure if the sightlines work in standing mode for the upper tier.

it is a result of 'martins law' that resulted from the Ariana Grande bombing, the law now stipulates that bodies organising large public attended events such as EFC need to do more to protect people from such attacks than they were doing
It is a minor inconvenience getting slowed down and/or searched on the way in, and annoying if they are preventing people taking in grub that they used to take into goodison.
There are anti vehicle measures on the approach
I'd rather that these measures are implemented than get blown up
not sure what warranted the middle finger here @bignev23 , I hope you're OK sweetheart x

Mansfield brought about 5,000 and they mixed with our fans in all the pubs. For such a ridiculously early ko you might be better going in the stadium.

Yer gonna be bad why dont they keep away fans in for abit? I remmber being kept in at certain away grounds over the years is that a thing anymore?

They will surely have policing categories and the likes of liverpool and united will be high risk games?

I've gone from Lower Gwladys to Lower South and it doesn't seem anywhere near as loud. It might sound different from other parts of the ground though.
I used to be a few blocks from the away fans in the Upper Bullens, and now I'm towards the North end of East Upper (so kinda "the same" in the sense that I'm in the upper towards the opposite end) and I think the noise from the South stand might project better to where I am.

Not for a long time

Everything is so much better organised now and with all the cameras it's probably not necessary for the majority of games

The Green brigade sing for 90 mins a pre planned song book with no relevance to what’s happening on the pitch. I went to 2 matches last season and the atmosphere came from the away supporters.
