2025/26 David Moyes

He's so predictable with his lineups and tactics that there has to be an element of laziness to go with his stubbornness.
That's exactly what it is at this stage. Selecting the same rigid formation with the same square pegs in round holes and I've never seen someone so slow to respond to whenever the opposition is getting on top.

Should have stuck with the Forrest team, was stupid to change it v Brentford -incredible that he stuck with the team v Wolves.

So frustrating that we’ve dropped so many points against the bottom 3 - we’ve won one in the last six and yet are only three points off 6th. This season is such a missed opportunity.

Also incredible if we don’t invest in January- this is our chance to get to Europe - there won’t be many seasons this inconsistent across the league.

Out of the cup on the weekend, very likely safe barring an insane turn of events. I'd sack him and start again with a new young hungry manager and not this dinosaur who watches games that need changes desperately and decides 'nah ill make them on 80 minutes haha'
It would make sense to bring in a new manager now given we're essentially safe or will be regardless of manager. Give somebody new a 5-month headstart to get to know the club and players.

Obviously won't happen and Moyes will be allowed to see £120m-odd invested only for him to finish us in bottom half and probably out of both cups at the first opportunity.

Can clearly see he's desperate for players. I don't want us signing depth for the sake of depth so he'll just have to carry on, but I really can't blame him for much. He's doing well with what he has, but needs to do better in certain games or else he's wasting momentum. Tough one.
The subs he didn’t use until it was too late, the predictable selection, 0 game management other than whispering things to the waste of space McNeil - very easy to blame him for all of that, as it’s what he did.

This fees like a “he’s showing the owners he has no players” post and it’s just dead wrong as he would've done the same regardless, and if we’d gotten players in on jan 1st they won’t be ready for the next 3 months anyway
