2025/26 David Moyes

Went for a solid, grind it out team - didn’t grind it out so deserves all the pelters he gets.

Doesn’t have any plan to break teams down at home unless N’Diaye does something from nothing.

Today our plan looked to be to get wide and put crosses in the box. That being the case, Paterson should have started at right back. He’s a far better crosser of the ball that O’Brien and that’s not a criticism of O’Brien. If the game plan is to put crosses in the box, you actually need to put good crossers of the ball in the team. Mykenko and O’Brien offer nothing and McNeil Grealish don’t really get the ball in enough either.

No plan. Attacking patterns that click happen by accident for Moyes rather than by design.

Bet he can’t wait for the next away game so he can get back to his comfort zone “get behind the ball and try to hit them on the break” ball.

I said this Brentford and Wolves double header at home was a massive opportunity for us. Once again, an opportunity not taken by Everton
This is what bothers me most of all. Two home games against sides we actually can (should?) beat at home. This would mean we put ourselves in a Euro-position. But what happens? Brentford plays us off the pitch, get a deserved win and a couple of days later we are very lucky to get a point against bottomteam Wolves.
