2025/26 David Moyes

I’m just not convinced they are rubbish. Barry has 3 in last 6 games and has hit double figures in La Liga. He’s got pace, height, and can finish with both feet and link play.

Dibling was considered one of the best prospects out the Southampton academy. He was valued by them as a 100 mill player as a teenager and has been through all the England youth set ups.

Can’t really say for Aznou but again he was in the systems at Barcelona and Bayern and played in la Liga.

Rohl has pace, height and physicality and has been in the German youth set up and played well in the Bundesliga.

Now it’s just a given fact that they’re not good enough for a bottom half PL team?

Dibling and Rohl are being yanked around in fits and starts. Rohl has come on in about three different positions. Dibling gets hooked the second he’s not doing well so as soon as he makes one mistake in a match he starts over compensating because he knows he’s getting yanked. He should have stayed on today and been told to turn up in the second half, instead he’s off and Rohl is shoved right wing?

These lads have far more talent than the likes of Harrison Lindstrom McNeil Doucoure Maupay Rondon
I think Dibling will probably be good enough in time but he's not close to being ready right now

Barry and Rohl don't look good enough to me.

Who knows about Aznou

But the fact is that we were in no position to spend 100m on players who don't improve the team this season

Realistically we aren’t even competing for the top half, that will be left to teams with actual ambition.

12th will be our ceiling this season which given how poor the league is really isn’t good enough.
Realistically we are proper rubbish, with no pace at all and no proper players except Grealish, Ndiaye and maybe Dewsbury-Hall. Dibling looks a waste of money. A 15-19th place finish is where we are at, we are not better than that at all. Forget Europe unless we buy 3 proper pacy players and then we might flirt with 8th. Depressing performance today so overreaction justified..

This was literally Newcastle all over again. Poor team selection compounded by a team that has a little pace and we absolutely poo ourselves against them.

We have players missing but we also had a good enough side to beat brentford.

Moyes changed a wining attacking side to a defensive loosing side to accommodate keane.

McNeil turns a pressing team into a walking defensive team and offers nothing going forward.

Kean obviously wasn't fit and couldn't stretch for anything. And this whike get it to grealish no matter what "tactics" blatantly doesnt work.

Also it obvious that dibling has been told to defend first because hes terrified to fet forward.

I love moyes but im not adverse to calling him out when he drips the ball.

Especially when Moyes himself said at the start of the window that what we really needed to do in he summer was sign players who would improved the starting 11.

Failed by his own measure.

Our home performances and results aren't close to good enough. Conceding 4 to a poor Brentford side is embarrassing.

I dont hear enough urgency to stop these kind of embarrassing results. I dont see enough upset from the manager and players after these results.
strewth, I wish we were that poor in the pass and on the break.

He'll be sitting there tonight feet up thinking he's got away with scamming the journalists again to sell a heavy loss like this to the hunters for him as being due to 'depleted resources'.

A shameful manager who's ultimately a piss taker on the make in the twilight of his career.

Mesmerino in the house... :D

Moyes either signed off on all these players or he didn’t. From what we know Kinnear has said, it sounds like he was part of the process and had a veto on which players came in.

I just don’t think this whole ‘these players aren’t ready’ will wash when he’s signed off on them. We didn’t have to buy Aznou, we didn’t have to buy Dibling, or Barry, or Rohl, or Alcaraz there were other players available.

he seems to be acting like Alcaraz wasn’t his buy and he doesn’t really want him, Aznou wasn’t a first team signing, Dibling and Rohl were bought by the club and aren’t ready for PL football, and he’s been left with no option but to play Barry.

These are his players, his signings. It worries me that Ndiaye is still our best wide player, Garner Gana Iroegbunam are trusted over Alcaraz and Rohl, and all of Mykolenko Coleman Garner and Patterson played left back before Aznou.

How did you reckon that Brentford were poor? My seat is unfortunately very close to the away fans and believe me they were enjoying themselves. Brentford played very well and ok, may have been flattered by the score. They might be shedding their "small club" image.
