2025/26 Seamus Coleman

Sean Dyche on Seamus Coleman:

Well, he’s a brilliant clubman, without doubt,” Dyche responded to Jim Conlan. “He’s a fantastic professional and player, and he’s just had his fair share of injuries. He had too many with us, which he knew. It’s very frustrating."

He was super fit, by the way, the last season I was there, and when I saw him this season, he had another injury. So, he’s very unlucky because he certainly keeps himself right."

He’s a brilliant professional, and every manager that has ever come across him always says the same. He’s very much a club-minded person."

He can link with a manager, and once they’re gone, it’s like, ‘Good to see you,’ and he moves on, thinking about the club first and the manager second. He deserves a lot of credit for that because it’s not easy to do.”

If there's talk of statues outside the stadium this lad should be in the running.

He is the spirit of Everton Football Club.

He's given everything to Everton including his physical well being; and when he's not playing he's doing the community side of the club.
I fully expect (and hope) that he will be recognised with a statue in that fan zone in the not too distant future.
;)

Not given everything to Everton as he has continued to play internationals when he should have retired years ago to maybe put his club 1st like a lot of players do.

Has stolen a living the past 3/4 years.

Yes he has done a few fist pumps from the side lines so yeah let's get a statue of him 🤣 Jeepers

Hoping to see him move to a Player/Coach role at the end of the season, a step towards taking up a full time coaching role whilst still being in a position to have such a great influence around the squad in these transitional years.

Ordinarily yes.

But I was talking of him as capturing the spirit and essence of a club.

He's quite simply been the beating heart of Everton for a decade or so. All his managers and team mates confirm that too.
Can it be a moving statue that you put in 50p and its arms move and does some fist pumps?

Make some money for the club at the same time.

We'll put it next to the Mick Lyons one my son.

God bless.
