It would've taken so little for the general feelings on Dyche to be very different. He basically produced a miracle in 22-23 keeping us up and then did an unbelievably good job in guiding us to safety in 23-24 handily despite the point deduction. I'll always be greatful for that week in April 2024. I know beating the RS between Forest and Brentford shouldn't be anything special but when you're starved of positivity for as long as we'd been you don't take things like that for granted and we simply don't win enough derby's for me to ever just dismiss one. I truly think that if he'd just been a little bit more positive in both his demeanour and general style last season and shown a tiny bit more flexibility then he'd have seen out his contract and would've left the club pretty well liked by 99% of the fanbase. Its a real shame that he had to spoil it all by being such a knobhead and downing tools like he did. Completely unnecessary but sadly shows the true character of the man. Not a very likeable or trustworthy individual when alls said and done.
Very well put.

Brilliantly put.

Quite besides whether Moyes is good enough or not for me is that he hated on this football club, and for anyone to forget that and the "stuck with Moyes" chants that our fans aimed at United supporters for convenience now that he's back as manager reflects pretty poorly on them.

Never forgive or forget where Everton is concerned. I will never rate him as anything other than a 💩heel who rubbished Everton FC and for his dumbing down of the club - that he even does to this day by setting up games against 4th from bottom teams as a step too far because we had a few absentees.

That's just me though. 🤷‍♂️

Well he’s bummed them to death twice in a month?

Wonder if Dyche’s NY resolution is to learn some new football tactics for a team without cloggers.

He's done better than expected there so far, but you can't be a good manager if you think it's the right idea to spam crosses vs Everton, which is one of the best teams in the air. And they have decent players on the ball.

By whose standards? I expect them to be pushing top half minimum with the squad they’ve got and the money they’ve spent. Don’t be gasdyched into thinking this is a bunch of relegation battling no hopers, they finished 7th last season and then dumped another £200m down on players. Their owner hasn’t thrown that amount of money at the squad to be told 16th is the best they can hope for.

He surely did his job at 22-23. It was dire and we only got saved by the last game, but before him we lost all our games against direct competitors in the relegation battle and sold Gorden to Newcastle. That fact shouldn't get neglected.

There was a progress visible in his first year here, however we regressed then so much from the 2nd half of the season and 24/25 like stats proved. I remember good home games vs Chelsea or Newcastle with that goal where we stringed together about 30 passes. Something started to crack after the Spurs game in December 23, where we should have gotten a better result. Dyche went fully conservative and didn't show a lot of adaptability apart from a few games.

Has he???

Seems like he’s already worked the heads of loads of people and made them believe he’s coaching a bunch of bums who can’t be expected to string passes together. The commentators fawning over him for the whole game against Man City was genuinely embarrassing, his entire reputation has been manufactured and given a glossy shiny finish by his media mates.
