If Tottenham fans think that their players have disgraced their club by congratulating Chelsea then I think that they are a disgrace to football itself. Football is supposed to be about sportsmanship and if players cannot congratulate opponents without ridicule by their supporters then those supporters can **** right off!!!

True but how would you feel if like Cahill was like 'congratulations Liverpool!' if they had just pipped us to a CL spot. Just playing devil's advocate.

Liverpool aint pippin nobody to a champions league place any time soon!

I may leave myself open to a booing here but.. I'd be upset at losing in such circumstances, but if one of our players were to congratulate Liverpool for winning I wouldn't start a campaign of hate against them.

If in 2005 when Liverpool won the champions league, if they had said we couldn't play in Europe then that would really upset me and I would have been furious, but abusing your own players is just not on when all they are doing is showing sportsmanship and being gracious in defeat.

Really worried Spurs will want to keep him and splash a bit of the Modric and Bale cash on some proper defenders.... starting with Baines.

He doesn't fit into their game, never has and never will while Harry is still there.

He'll be gone, the only SLIGHT question is whether it will be to us or not.

Hopefully he's overcome his love for money and wants to play for us, it seems that way. He'll still get a pay rise from last time. Hopefully player-power prevails, he wants to come to us and ignores other teams, I have too much faith in the modern footballer!

Pienaar will end up back at Everton, I just hope it's in pre-season and not Sep 1st.

I think Everton know it's a must to buy Pienaar, because they will face a fans backlash if they don't ? He's been instrumental in our style of play since January, and will only enhance our future prospects of challenging for honours in seasons to come. So basically the board need to conjure up the funds from somewhere to get him, and maybe supporters who are waiting to see what happens during the summer transfer wise, will buy their season tickets if we show some ambition on the playing side which has been non exsistant in recent seasons. Hopefully the earlier the better ? By the way I've already re-newed.

Cheers Bally i make a habit of following your posts (and Website) WRT Saha and Pienaar i agree its probably should have been done through private messaging not out in the big world of twitter, bit naive perhaps. but i dont doubt for a second that players congratulate each other, at the end of the day an ENGLISH team won the EUROPEAN Champions League, that is worthy of applause no matter who they are. As much as i despise the Sh**e i would congratulate them if they won (through gritted teeth mind) its common courtesy and its the manners that were instilled in me as i was raised up.
