January Transfer Window 2026

Not as good as Gordon or Barnes. Villa don't really need him as they have Sancho, Buendia and others that Emery likes to play more inverted

I’d probably have him over both if I’m honest mate and I’d be a fan of theirs also as players.

Hes a different type, more a wide forward then a conventional winger, like Gordon or Barnes.

Hes a clever player - capable of double digits goals and assists in this league - that would be huge and transformative for us.

He's obviously good but not top shelf quality. Wales actually dropped him from a big qualifier against Belgium so clearly his form hasn't been there this season. I wouldn't be dead against him joining I just don't think he's what we require right now

I half made my initial point - because I think it’s strange Spurs are selling him and for £35 mill. I wondered was something going on…..maybe off the field stuff etc.

He brings goals and assists - we are desperate for both, we are one of the leagues worst scores.

Hes also highly versatile and we know Moyes loves that type.

I rate him very highly myself.

Well you've probably got more knowledge on him than me as I've only seen him on the odd occasion either for Wales or when Spurs were playing in Europe last season so if we do sign him then I hope your assessment is spot on

I'm open to the idea of signing Troy Parrott personally. Always rated him before those intenrational games. Good in the air and seems like his shooting has really improved. There are doubts on if England suit his style of play, but for a decent fee I wouldn't say no.

Do understand that it would be a gamble, something we already did by signing Barry, so maybe someone like Strand Larsen would be better.

Regarding Johnson, feel like there are other positions we should strengthen (tbf he would probably start striker for us at this stage).

Weird Spurs are selling Johnson, thought he was there best player last season.

£35mill is a snip, be disappointed if we weren’t in for him for that.

Palace and Bournemouth are both brewstered after Eze and Semenyo, wonder could the price go north with the high interest.

If Palace have agreed a deal at that price, I think they have done well. I could see him at Bournemouth, given Semenyo is expected to go to City.

I would love to think we are in for him, having Him, Grealish and Ndiaye behind a striker could be really effective
