This feller's 'short of players' line that he's currently peddling and is being repeated for him simply wont cut it.

He and his media helpers are forever reminding everyone how well he did from January last season picking up 31 points - form that would have put us just short of the European places last season - with scarce resources.

Even with Ndiaye and Gueye at AFCON and KDH out, we're still in an improved position with others brought in. Rohl and Aznou are there to be used and Armstrong can be brought in. Grealish is a major improvement on what we had and he's going to be influential again if we use him right.

He can either accept he can do this job without certain resources available for a few weeks or admit January-May last season wasn't down to him.
