2025/26 Tyler Dibling

….if he wanted to ‘hit the lines’, he’d play on the other flank. Doesn’t look anything like a conventional winger, he’ll always favour his left side.

Nobody to blame for this, no excuses, he’s just been very disappointing.
Well he certainly doesn’t look like the player Southampton had, a team that were terrible, but he comes here and looks totally different.

He's told to check back IMO. You can see that in his play as opposed to the way he played at Southampton.
But this is exactly how he played at Southampton. He had one good half against Man Utd and all the pundits lost their minds because he's a) English and b) they condescend to teams who are at the bottom because they don't actually their games in full

So you didnt watch him before he signed for us.

Why not say that instead of posting nonsense.

Oh he had quite a few good performances. This is on the club not knowing how to handle talent.

Recruitment team is 100 percent to blame. We went way down the checklist and brought in a player without considering fit or how his strengths and weaknesses fit into the side. We cannot afford to have an unnasertive wing at Everton paired with the likes of Myko and O'Brien on the wings. He does not use his pace and he does not know how to affect games off the ball and isn't really that refined on the ball. I was hoping he was being brought to rotate central but that isn't even the case. All of my concerns with our strategy have been justified thus far. Too much focus on depth and not enough focus on NEEDS

Play him on the other side then.

I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt because we were ahead in the second half and managing the game

But I've seen literally nothing from the lad so far. It's not his fault either. It was very bad recruitment and we spent far too much money on someone who doesn't offer goal threat.
Him and Alcaraz look technically very good but when it comes down to it they are just average I guess, and aren't very direct or goal threats

So youve never seen him play before he joined.

Ok.
