2025/26 Merlin Röhl

I hope his fitness can be managed but I don't why there's such vitriol towards the player themselves for being injury prone , I get being critical of the recruitment policy that wasn't more wary of his past fitness. Moyes wanted his young soucek/fellani type player. Definitely frustrating as I thought he would have more of impact by this point but I think it's too early to consider him a flop

Dont think anyone has slated him personally

Joey you already finished me in one thread, please don't do it here.

We know his injury isn't good, we have medical team that would have gone through all of it.

Next time I go to the hospital should i ask my doctor why he spent so many years getting to the top his profession when he could have just used Google..

You know doctors use google right?

This lad will be a star - vault me 12 months from now. 😑
Just a feeling I've got. 🤷‍♂️

Do they put stars on the wall in hospitals?

Tbf I have a bit which was probably a bit premature but I was so annoyed when we signed him instead of some other midfield options haha. Terrible injury record, never nailed down a specific position, and has never shown he can do anything to a high level except run with the ball and win stuff in the air

If he turns out good for us - which I really really hope so, his athleticism is freakish and if you can turn that into a good football player you're really onto something - then it's an incredible bit of potential-spotting scouting

Plus he seems like a lovely lad and the m&s bag for life thing was so great haha

You're killing me mate, starting to think you and Joey are the same person.

Most conditions come with numerous different aspects, without a doctor going through all the pieces with you around that condition, the answer wont be there. Google can't answer what category you fall into without spending time with you.

We have a medical team that would have run the rule over the Risk/Reward aspects of the signing.
The owners wouldn't have signed off on a deal looked up on Google.

His injury record from freiburg have been known to us and not changed since we signed him.
Everyone was happy than, now You're not happy.
If we hadn't known his injury record i would understand your point.

Please explain in common sense, how "player worship" has gone to a "crocked waste", when nothing has changed since day 1 !

A simple question @Zatara

Did you say it was a bad mistake when we signed him ?

Of course i did!!

What about the other point, regarding a search bar and medical team/Manager/kinear and owners.

If random people on the internet can be concerned about signing a player last minute who:

A: Has never played 1/2 a seasons worth of games in a top league

B: Appears injury prone

Then the club should have far more information than this and not proceeded with the deal as an obligation
