2025/26 David Moyes

He’s covering his bases early doors with a new and ready made excuse should we get a result against Chelsea.

“ We’re only getting results, as we’re playing against teams that are knackered from playing midweek in Europe “

He hates Moyes so much, he’s just dredging up anything to suit his warped agenda against him.
We beat a team that isn’t in Europe like Fulham = they’re crap, it doesn’t count.

We beat a good team = they’re in Europe, it doesn’t count.

None of our wins count. What a joyous world to live in. Definitely, unquestionably an Everton fan.

Moving the goalposts to suit his agenda, as per usual. Nothing new to see here, lads. 🤷

He actively wants us to lose, just so he can stick it to Moyes.

It’s not normal in any sense for a fan to want their team to lose.
It’s not just with Moyes he’s done this, let’s not forget with past managers he actively wanted us to tank games against anyone in the RS vicinity for the title, even if the points were more important for our cause and his continued wishes for us to tank cup ties when we’ve won sweet FA for 30 years

The thought of us actually doing something good terrifies him, as shown by his childish insistence on bleeping out the stadium sponsor and constant put downs on anything to do with generating revenue from the stadium

My favourite was the Bournemouth game. A great away win at a ground we just don't get results and this was his response....

"Bournemouth were shockingly bad, we made hard work of that"

As you say non of our wins count. Be a different reply under Dyche.

All on Moyes to show he can even attempt to get a result away against a so-called big club.

Old Trafford was a crazy game, backs to the wall. Brilliant but more like a non league team getting a result in the 3rd Round of the Cup.

Key will be how he sets up.

Then in a month's time how he gets us a full back or two plus a starting striker.

Until then jury is definitely out surely?

Can’t just discount the fixture v United as a ‘crazy game’. Most of these teams getting results at so called big grounds will be smash and grab, you just see the result on match of the day but none of these mid table teams are going to the Etihad Stamford Bridge or the Emirates and dominating those teams with front foot football for 90 mins.

There’s been times under Moyes we’ve gone to top teams and played very well but not got a result because of some bad luck (e.g Vaughan missing a chance to go 3-1 up at the emirates after Pienaar had chipped the keeper and then Rosicky deflects one off Lucas Neil in the last minute). They’re not caveated though are they, they’re just lumped in with all the other times he didn’t win.

You’re either judging it on performances or results, but you can’t just discount positive results that don’t suit the narrative.

Nah your right we should discount every game that’s gone before and judge him purely on the metrics you have set up, seems logical.
