In a small lift with my toddler in a push chair and when it’s our stop we leave and two middle aged women had to wait in order to enter. Then heard one slyly say ‘you’re welcome’ to her mate as we passed them as though we should be thanking them for them not piling into the lift while we were leaving. Bet they had a good chat afterwards about how people have no manners these days over a scone and tea.

I did wonder at first if I was in the wrong. I guess I could have let them in then asked them to get out again so i could leave I suppose.

The other day I stopped to let a woman with a dog pass on a congested pavement. She just walked past without acknowledgement so i mumbled quietly "thank you,you're welcome" Then she just started shouting " Passive Aggression " 2/3 times. The other day I stopped to let a woman with a dog pass on a congested pavement. She just walked past without acknowledgement so i mumbled quietly "thank you,you're welcome" Then she just started shouting " Passive Aggression " 2/3 times. Wasn't expecting a medal or anything but a simply thank you wouldn't have gone a miss.

Be grateful you no longer have to put your coat down over puddles so they don’t have get their shoes wet you chauvinist swine!

It was a sit in place to be fair but they advertised the fish and chip special with a drink, didn’t mention the drink was tea or coffee ffs, charged me £5 for 2 cans of Coke … thieving barstewards
