In a small lift with my toddler in a push chair and when it’s our stop we leave and two middle aged women had to wait in order to enter. Then heard one slyly say ‘you’re welcome’ to her mate as we passed them as though we should be thanking them for them not piling into the lift while we were leaving. Bet they had a good chat afterwards about how people have no manners these days over a scone and tea.

I did wonder at first if I was in the wrong. I guess I could have let them in then asked them to get out again so i could leave I suppose.
They thought they were super heroes for taking the only option available. Bet they had a nice scone and tea before discussing how the government should machine gun those people coming on boats (all men by the way)
