2025/26 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

just think it's strange to suggest he is anywhere near high up on players that need selling, given he's a natural 10, he can definitely be of use. Also I don’t think he’s actually started or played as a 10 that often. I haven’t been impressed when he’s been out wide or deeper, but I have liked him when he’s been used in the 10, including last season. I thought he was fine, he carries the ball well and his link-up play is decent. Your criticism of him passing back to Pickford is funny. As if Moyes wouldn’t rather he play it safe than take unnecessary risks that end up getting him a bollocking from the touchline.
Tbh I'd rather he did pass the ball back to Pickford than turn and play forward if he isn't good enough to know that there's enough room to turn or not.

This example isn't one that hugely bothers me, it's just a comparison to someone like KDH who would have had a picture in his head and know whether he can turn or not. It's to illustrate a general point that Alcaraz lacks this sort of awareness.

His quality for us could be used to say he was a bargain signing.

However, Chelsea wanted him out and we've given them their money back. I think we could have gotten him cheaper.

Comparing his performances and desire to play at 8, he is pretty terrible as a 10.

Huge player as an 8 and for every game there he's motm or at that level. One of the best in the league for us there. Adds energy and a goal threat as a CM but slows play down as a 10.

Cahill for me is more what I see with Alcaraz.

KDH reminds me of Joe Parkinson. Not for the specific style of play, but for the relentless energy and quality he brings to the team.

I think we should stick with Alcaraz, see how he does. Barry had 6 games so surely Alcaraz also deserves a go as he's getting goals and assists.

If Alcaraz isnt the chosen one then we should be using Dibling at 10.

If neither of them fit the bill by the summer then Moyes has to decide whether he wants a 6 or a 10.

He's had 4 games and 4 motm performances at 8.

Newcastle he was used at 10 again by Moyes and we were blitzed all game.

As others have said i dont trust Moyes in these situations at all. Its frightening to think that he signed KDH to play at 10.

I expected him to replace Gana. Just so weird to use him at 10.

He'll probably do his favourite party trick of dropping Alcaraz, playing KDH at 10 next game and using Gana again vs Chelsea.

Then say that theyre a brilliant side when we lose the game and Grealish + KDH slow the play down all game :(

Do you think so? It looks obvious but he may well force KDH back into the 10 role.
Chelsea wanted him out because they have Enzo and Caicedo who they have spent massive fees on and are probably on extortionate wages. Lavia is s**t and seems happy to sit on the bench.

Have a couple of Chelsea mates who really liked him. They basically said he won them the Conference League but didn’t get a fair crack in the PL.

You know what I came here to say the exact same thing.

He’s clearly a lot better than where I rated him, I hope the return of Gana doesn’t see him move back to that ten role, him and Jimmy G are clearly our two best cms at the moment.

We looked more balanced yesterday where he played and Alcaraz in that ten role.

Well they cannot have him back.

He stays deep now, you don’t change that side, even when Gana is available before the afcon. Charley does a good job in the 10 and really supports the press from Barry, he will create chances and score goals from there as well.

The balance with garner also allowed the full backs more room to roam forward, the whole side look assured and know their jobs in that set up, and KDH is vital to it in the deeper role, along side garner who has been terrific all season.

KDH is Perpetual motion, can tackle, pass well, create chances and scores goals - what’s not to love.

Signing of the summer?

Hats off to Moyes getting just the right player and fitting him in almost perfectly?

Ā£27M seems a bit of a steal now doesn't it.

Isn't there some lunatic on here telling us all we should try and sell him to recover as much of our cash as possible and take a punt on some unknown? Them HT lagers must be incredi-strong!

Why did so many people here call him šŸ’© when he was played in the 10? There’s no denying he can play pretty much anywhere btw, he’s really versatile, but it’s obvious his best position is the one he’s in now.
100% It’s annoying that it takes forced shuffling for Moyes to play him where he’s at his best, but he’s such a good all around player.
