I've nothing against Dyche, he saw us through possibly the worst time in our history, what I can remember anyway.
I know he was paid well and he did what he was supposed to do, but I looked at him sometimes on the sidelines and he looked stressed to death.

Having said that I still hope we win obviously.
I think Forest two centre halves are average and can be got at, I'll have another wager on Barry to bang a couple in, COYB

Its gonna be real interesting around here if Dyche beats Moyes.

Personally I think we really need a nice comfortable breakout match. One where the striker scores, Grealish scores, we win 3-0 and the squad starts to really believe. Where we see all the pressure pay out for once. Outside of them having that other clubs number Forest really seem to like allowing a couple goals a match.

As others have stated, I have nothing but fond memories of Dyche, despite the bizarre circumstances surrounding his dismissal.

Kept us up twice against all odds, the second of which involved not one but two points deductions. He did what he was brought here to do.

Glad he's gone, as it means that we are vying to reach the top half of the table, rather than simply surviving.

But by any objective measure, his time here was a success given the circumstances

He was left here with no board of directors to back him up, as they'd all been chased, and it was just Thelwell and him trying to plait sawdust during a period when players were sold and the PL were intent on snuffing out our tenure as a top flight team.

It's a wonder the feller didn't just walk.

We owe Dyche big time. That's the reality of it.

Yep

And I really don't care what we paid him. People can say he was paid handsomely to do a job, and while that's technically true, he could have got paid the same and just said "I've been given no chance here, I'll just collect my paycheck and see out my time."

But he didn't, how he kept us together during that time when everything was crumbling, he deserves a decent amount of credit for that.

Whatever they paid him it wasn't enough.

The cost to Everton of falling through the trapdoor would be difficult to calculate. Probably insolvency given the stadium debt.

We have our head above water and looking toward better days because he put the hard yards in saving us from drowning...forgive the mixed metaphors.

I’m worried how toxic it will get if these hit us with a couple of set pieces early doors

last saturday set the precedent that its ok to empty the ground early doors, that bar is only going to get lower

hopefully our superior style shows through

1-0 Barry
