They've been handsomely beaten at West Ham and Brentford last two premier league away matches. No reason we couldn't have got a result tonight.
Know your place. We're not fit to lace their boots. They've been handsomely beaten at West Ham and Brentford last two premier league away matches. No reason we couldn't have got a result tonight.
Lots of that is on him, too.Not all on him, but the recruitment this summer just looks so poor now doesn't it?
It's staggering how little he's changedWhy does he do this sort of quote??? What the hell does it gain him?
Fair enough, say they were the better side on the night, criticize our performance and praise theirs. But to do that, it just chucks goodwill that he gained on Monday right away.
Infuriating.
You may call it honestly but I think those comments are just stupid, they don’t help in any way, shape or form and indicate a defeatist mentality.I mean, you could say he’s too honest, but I’d rather someone just says it how it is. It’s like when Man Utd moaned when he said they had to aspire to Man City’s level. They somehow thought they were still a better football organization than City, but in truth they had fallen far behind.
We need to concentrate on the big picture, try to keep improving and not overreact to every win and loss. The key for us will be after Christmas when European clubs start to suffer from tiredness as it could open a European path for us in the league.
Saying the players are not good enough against a great team like Newcastle is not defending the players......it is quite the opposite.. He has just said we are not on the same level as a team below us in the leagueReally don’t mind the quote it’s just defending the players. Individual performances lost us it today
What really matters is what the manager says in the dressing room. You may call it honestly but I think those comments are just stupid, they don’t help in any way, shape or form and indicate a defeatist mentality.
As for the big picture, that is just it, I wasn’t happy with today’s loss but it was a “meh, that wasn’t great , move on” before I read those comments!
Completely agree with saying it how it is and not overreacting one way or the other, but unless we sign a goalscorer in January we aren't getting anywhere near Europe. Every team bar 3 in the league has scored more goals than us a third of the way through, so the team as it stands likely finishing top 6/7/8 is fantasy talk IMO.I mean, you could say he’s too honest, but I’d rather someone just says it how it is. It’s defending individuals who could easily be dug out and spreading the blame and mitigating the loss.Saying the players are not good enough against a great team like Newcastle is not defending the players......it is quite the opposite.. I agree it matters more, but don’t think his public comments aren’t important. What really matters is what the manager says in the dressing room.
Yeah. I like Barry but he’s clearly still developing. We need a senior to come in and take the main responsibility. Jesus could be a good signing if that is actually true.Completely agree with saying it how it is and not overreacting one way or the other, but unless we sign a goalscorer in January we aren't getting anywhere near Europe.
